Grateful for new followers. So it's worth restating some rules of my threads: Nonsense will be muted. Incivility will be blocked. Proven falsehoods and threats will be reported.

This statement looks like a lawyer with some comms experience wrote it. A really bad one at that… Wait, did @KatieZacharia already land a new job?!?!
My final statement regarding the @JamesTalarico and @LindnerCtrHope situation: I’ve made all the recordings publicly available on my 𝕏 account so everyone can listen and draw their own conclusions. Frankly, this entire situation has been blown completely out of proportion. Here are the facts: I contacted the medical facility after receiving a tip suggesting that Talarico might have been a patient there. During that conversation, I pressed an employee for information, and the employee ultimately stated that Talarico had been discharged from the facility within the previous 24 hours. Approximately 12 hours later, the Lindner Center issued an official statement contradicting what its employee had told me, denying that Talarico had ever been a patient at the facility. That’s where the facts stand. I reported what I was told, released the recordings in full, and acknowledged the facility’s subsequent denial. I have no independently verified evidence establishing that Talarico was ever a patient there. I’m not going to speculate beyond the information available or continue fueling a controversy based on an unverified claim. As far as I’m concerned, this matter is closed. It’s time to move on to more substantive issues facing voters. From now until Election Day, my goal remains clear: to do everything within my ability, in whatever capacity possible, to help elect @KenPaxtonTX as the next United States Senator from the great state of Texas.

Republicans are spending so much $ with such poor returns, makes me wonder if R campaigns are being run by the @NewYorkMets

Representative James Talarico has never received treatment from Lindner Center of Hope.

October 7, 2023. A pogrom. An atrocity. A wound in the Jewish people that will endure for generations. For those of us with family in Israel, the horror was especially close. For Jews everywhere, the echoes of history were unmistakable. We remember. We mourn. Never again.

The Jack Smith (aka Schmitt's Creek) Senate hearings is to the Fauci hearings, what the Iran War is to the Venezuela operation.

Anyone notice how detailed #stevesarkisian of @UTAustin was in his answers with @sportsiren today? And he thanked Holly by name too. Pretty cool.

2/3 But the story has heroes. Friends like Dana Flowers, Lisa Sharon Harper, and Helen Ahn are among them. Yet, they're some of the very people who will find things in here to disagree with. They're also the ones who showed me what it looks like to stay in relationship anyway.

1/3 "Woke 1 was crazy," AOC said recently, and then she laughed. Some of what she was laughing off actually cost people: friendships, careers, invitations that stopped coming. My latest essay is one that some of my friends might disagree with, at least parts of it.

Credentials used to be enough to be trusted. Not anymore. @noUpside Renee DiResta and @RachelKleinfeld just published a new report with @CarnegieEndow on why authenticity and community matter more than pedigree, and what that means for how orgs should actually show up online.

Definitely not too soon to fire Mike McDaniel

Yes, “My Hometown” is about a place. But it’s really about a time, and mostly it’s about people. (And it’s still such a trip to have one of my favorite outlets, @thedispatch, share something I wrote. Lemme know if you’d like a gift link.)

Grateful to @thedispatch for sharing my latest. “My Hometown” - the one from Bruce’s song - is actually my hometown. It’s about the place and the people, and whether we can continue in relationship when miles aren’t the greatest distance to traverse. thedispatch.com/article/free…
