Socialism is being pushed by wealthiest activists, and it is the very definition of climbing the ladder of success and then pulling it up behind you. People like Bernie Sanders, Hasan Piker and others - have built their fortunes under capitalism and enjoyed the opportunities that a free market economy provides. They have no complaints about the capitalist system as it applies to them. Every wealthy Democrat Socialist owns at least one, if not multiple, private properties. But now, the want to abolish private ownership for everyone else - with no intention of giving up the private property of their own. They preach equality while holding on to their own wealth and assets - with no intention of ever living as equals alongside the very people they recruit to support that system. They enjoy private education, private healthcare, luxury lifestyles, and investment opportunities - all of which would disappear for everyone else under the very system of government they want to impose. The bottom line: Under capitalism, NO ONE is poor because the top 1% is wealthy. Under socialism, EVERYONE is poor because the top 1% controls the wealth.
