I've learned that if I need motivation to work on something every single day, I'm probably working on the wrong thing.
At some point in your career, experience stops being about knowing more.
It becomes knowing what usually goes wrong next.
I think developers sometimes mistake being busy with being important.
I've definitely been guilty of it.
I’ve started treating my attention like money.
There are a lot of things I simply can’t afford anymore.
I used to measure a productive day by how much I completed.
Now I sometimes measure it by how many unnecessary things I decided not to do.
I used to think adding options made software more powerful.
Now I think removing decisions often makes it better.

Something I've learned the hard way:
If you automate a bad process, you now have a very fast bad process.
I’ve learned to be suspicious whenever an agent tells me a task will be quick:
“It’ll only take an hour.”
Then it ends up taking multiple hours and iterations.
