This is the best thread I have ever read on Twitter...
I’m a mother of six, and a Mormon. I have a good understanding of arguments surrounding abortion, religious and otherwise. I've been listening to men grandstand about women's reproductive rights, and I'm convinced men actually have zero interest in stopping abortion. Here's why…

The law be damned, Trump is going to close East Potomac Park on Nov 15. The "redesign" eliminates picnic areas, bike lanes, playgrounds, everything to give the rich a fancy golf course. Completely illegal, too - the park was created by Congress for the people

The Republican-controlled board of elections shut down the 1 early voting site at North Carolina A&T University—a historically Black college—so students marched an hour to vote. CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE STUDENTS FOR FIGHTING BACK. WE MUST ALL DO THE SAME.

Virtually every university across North Carolina has lost its early voting site. This is a coordinated assault on youth & minority turnout.
North Carolina A&T students marched an hour each way to vote on the first day of early voting after their campus polling site was removed by the Guilford County Elections Board. Proud 👏🏽

This answer was so fucking good: Talarico: “My decision to stay home for a week sent my opponent and his conspiracy theorists spiraling. I opened up social media and learned I had apparently dropped out of the race, had flown to a mental hospital in Ohio, that I had DIED. False claims got millions of views online - and this is an example of what I call the ‘rage economy.’ Billionaires who own these platforms get rich, we all get angry, and nobody’s life gets any better. Conspiracy theories don’t put food on the table, put gas in the tank, or improve our communities. I’m going to stay focused on the very real problems facing Texans.”

So hold up. Republicans have spent all this time questioning whether Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is a real doctor, yet they're calling new press secretary Katie Zacharia an attorney despite her having never passed the bar exam. Am I getting that right?

It’s fun to watch karma catch up every now and then. Remember when Elon Musk doxxed FEMA CFO Mary Comans and accused her of illegally sending millions of dollars to New York City hotels housing migrants? He got her fired. Well, a federal judge just fully cleared her name, and holy shit, the ruling is delicious. Turns out, Comans didn’t even have the authority to approve those payments herself. You wanna know who did? DOGE did. DOGE personnel had actually approved the continued funding. The judge found that Musk, Kristi Noem, and other senior officials were part of a coordinated campaign to spread accusations about Comans that they knew were false. THAT THEY KNEW WERE FALSE. He described Musk’s conduct as “state sanctioned intimidation.” But this part of the ruling really stuck with me. “For reasons unfathomable to this Court, officials chose to turn the power of the federal government against a singular employee with an impeccable record of public service.” “an impeccable record of public service” A woman who spent 21 years serving the federal government was publicly accused of criminal wrongdoing, fired, and had her reputation dragged through the mud. All over payments she didn’t authorize, and that DOGE actually approved. Who’s being held accountable for what happened to that poor woman?

Billions of dollars’ worth of contracts predicting oil would fall and the S&P 500 would rise were placed about 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran in a post on Truth Social. CFTC staff began to investigate-- then were told to lay off. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

How can you possibly vote for a Republican if you're a child of an immigrant? Or a millennial who wants a habitable planet? Or a scientist? Or a person who trusts science? Or a person of color? Or Hispanic? Or LGBTQ? Or a veteran? Or a senior? Or someone on a fixed income? Or an educator? Or in a labor union? Or an environmentalist? Or a farmer? Or in need of steady health care? Or a woman? Or compassionate? Or humble? Or sane?

Trump and Musk are wilfully helping Putin kill Ukraine citizens.
BREAKING: Zelensky says he has been betrayed by Trump, that Elon Musk and Trump deliberately blocked Starlink in Ukraine overnight and that people have been killed as a result. "I am sure they knew what they did, absolutely. Because it was 1am at night, Starlink was blocked by SpaceX and the United States," he tells Piers Morgan. "This decision will bring a lot of human losses. Of course, people will die." He said interceptors that rely on Starlink did not work, and that "this is not the right side of history." Asked if he is angry with Musk, Zelensky said yes, calling it a big mistake. "Now Putin is laughing because, I mean this is for him, simple victory," he says on the Trump-Russia diesel deal.

Last weekend, Pres. Trump’s Interior Dept. violated a federal judge’s order and felled over 400 trees at East Potomac Golf Course. Congress must investigate and hold the administration accountable for the president’s reckless vanity projects and contempt for the rule of law.

430 trees cut down. A federal judge furious. A public landscape destroyed. This is what happens when power is mistaken for ownership. The trees took decades to grow. They were felled in hours. The latest in The Warning: steveschmidt.substack.com/p/…
