Today! Steam & electric train rides £1 on one of London’s oldest miniature railways: the Ickenham Miniature Railway. 12-5pm, bonkers 5 inch gauge circuit with tunnels, station, workshops & refreshments. Oh-how-very-conveniently beside Coach & Horses pub too
⦵Met/Picc, 5 min walk

This rather neat Lego London Underground S7 has been proposed on Lego Ideas (and is significantly better than the old Citybrix one). If Lego likes it - and sells it as a set - @TfL i’m sure would be v keen to license it as official tube merch ideas.lego.com/product-ideas…

Was sent this last night. It's an aerial shot of the field above Potters Bar Tunnel. Notice the dark area tracing the line underneath, which I'm thinking is a damp compression in the ground.
Not sure if this is recent, as it's from Google Maps but I thought it was interesting

Can the Mustang take the top spot? 👀
The Austin Metro 6R4 currently leads Scalextric Top Time, but next up is the C4662 Ford Mustang GT3, as raced by Gradient Racing at the 2025 24 Hours of Daytona.
One car. Five laps. Fastest lap goes on the board. Will the Mustang knock the Metro off P1?

It’s harder than it looks 🤣
We sent the Subaru Impreza flying over the Scalextric jump to see how many attempts it would take to land it cleanly.
Think you can do better? Recreate the stunt at home with the Rally Car and Track Expansion Collection 👉 bit.ly/41oq39b

We're out and about today....
First stop is
Junction 20 Models
51 High Street, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, WD4 9HU
Nestled away in the village of Kings Langley in Hertfordshire is Junction 20 Models.
Keith has been trading here for over 25 years so is a mind of information. With a good range of model railways with RTR items sitting alongside some interesting secondhand and a large number of accessories too, as well as a decent quantity of model kits, this is worth a stop if in the area.
It couldn’t be better connected. The name reflects the nearby Junction of the M25 and the shop is a 20min walk from the station. There’s even a great coffee shop opposite.

Chuffing ace trip to @BucksRailCentre: thank you team for showing president Lord Faulkner and I round. Met No.1 has been reassembled pending full survey, the only NYC Subway car in Europe is now a cafe-diner, several model railways on display & cab rides too! Do visit if you can
