The Department of Homeland Security is requiring all civilian federal agencies to remove DeepSeek products and 'any third-party services developed using DeepSeek implementations,' and to stop buying them.

Here's the perfect 1-2 punch for starting companies, making products, retaining customers, clients, patients and students. @markpinc basically invented product management for "games as a service", packs in more ideas per page than you've ever seen, and is cited 30 times in "Everybody Wins." (he cited me 10 times in "Life".)

Theyre literally burning and looting and Ro thinks this is the model for the US. We tried defunding the police. We cant afford more of this radical chaos in our country.
From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in.
In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes.
In Spain, for affordable rent and housing.
In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption.
@JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south.
He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment.
The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few.
This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future.
In America, let us listen to our young.
We need an economic and political transformation.

CHAOS INC: A Fox News Digital investigation by @FoxNews Digital's senior editor of investigations @AsraNomani has identified 54 organizations behind France's escalating protests — a sprawling network of communist parties, revolutionary socialist groups, labor unions, Palestine-solidarity organizations and international media outlets working to transform grievances into a full-blown revolt against capitalism, government austerity and military spending.
Now, 28 communist and socialist youth organizations across 12 European countries are mobilizing for a coordinated November 20 strike under the slogan "Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars," calling for walkouts, blockades, occupations and mass demonstrations.
Among the international amplifiers: organizations tied to Neville Roy Singham, a Marxist tech tycoon living in Shanghai, whose network includes Tricontinental and BreakThrough News, a New York-based outlet that published advance coverage of the weekend's mayhem in France.

Developers who are getting value from AI should speak up. There's safety in numbers. MOST developers are doing it and loving it - and if they're not talking about it it's mostly out of fear for haters attacking them, their product, and their company.

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.

No, there is no credible evidence that Kim Jong Un has died. Unverified social media rumors claim a cerebral hemorrhage in China, but no official confirmation exists from North Korea, China, or intelligence agencies. He was last seen publicly around October 11 at a defense museum with his family. South Korean NIS reported no major health issues as of late September.
A striking contrast on the streets of Paris: A couple sits sipping drinks at an outdoor café as flames burn just steps away.
The moment was captured Saturday near the Arc de Triomphe, on the outskirts of rioting that erupted during demonstrations over rising prices, inequality and public spending.
Video shows the pair continuing their conversation as a burning trash bin lights up the background.

Nathan Fielder reveals to @WIRED that Elizabeth Holmes called him from prison last week:
“She had not called me in over six months. I had not heard from her in any way…she asked how I was doing. I asked her if she had seen any stuff about the film coming out and how she felt about it. She told me she had seen some stuff, but most things she just isn’t seeing, so she’s heard things, but she hasn’t really read anything. And then, at the end, she said to me - ‘I trust you.’ I said, ‘OK, thanks.’”
EXCLUSIVE: Nathan Fielder, codirector of the Elizabeth Holmes documentary ‘You Can See Everything,’ sat down with WIRED for an interview—the only one he’s done to discuss the film. wired.com/story/nathan-field…

I understand that people are demanding more access to products and control over their health, but unregulated peptides and “research use only” products are not worth it. There is a time and place to push boundaries but injecting yourself with something that is not proven or of an unknown source is not worth the risks.
Two souls are dead because they self administered something purporting to be the most powerful metabolic agent ever developed - without medical supervision, before the inventor has asked for approval and sourced from a Chinese “lab” seeking to make a quick buck.

The film about Elizabeth Holmes “You Can See Everything” has a 99% Rotten Tomatoes score. Randomly, the film would never have been made without the Magic Castle (which is a frequent hangout for Hollywood entertainment business folks):

I'm sorry for ruining your bedtime.
Thank you so much for making the trip up, treating the interview with such care. I really admire you Bryan, you are brave and selfless and I'm honored to know you. When the world is against you and the pain is so real it means so much to have people like you show such kindness.

I interviewed Billy, Elizabeth’s partner, following a private screening last night.
I can’t say what we talked about because it was off the record.
But I will say the doc is a masterpiece.
Billy was magnanimous in conversation. I gave him every opportunity to defend himself and strike back because Fielder
roughed him up, and yet, he demurred.
The immediate reactions of those present were scattered. Every conversation I had went in a surprising direction. Most entered the evening unequivocally believing Holmes is guilty and many left unsure what just happened.
Felder pulled off a piece that only opens the next chapter in what will surely become a continued saga.
