I am disappointed and grieved to say that this is not what survivors and advocates actually called for and not what LU needs. I hope that this is the result of a lack of understanding on the part of LU and that it will be rectified quickly.

The man who murdered women in a massage parlor yesterday says he was "eliminating temptation" because he had a sex addiction.
He was a baptized member of an SBC church.
Brothers. Pastors. Seminary heads. How you teach sexuality matters. It can be life and death...
#UPDATE: Authorities say the suspect, 21-year-old Robert Long, said he had a sexual addiction. Police say he said he wanted to "eliminate his temptation." Investigators say indicators right now show the killings may not have been a hate crime.

Applying the "Billy Graham Rule" across the board implies that either,
1. Women are temptresses who will seduce men if given the chance, or
2. Women are liars who will falsely accuse men if given the chance, or
3. Men are animals who might assault a woman if given the chance 1/4
We have to do better than this.

The evils committed by Ravi Zacharias were enabled by a toxic organizational leadership that is evidenced by how these same leaders responded when confronted about the widespread and ongoing abuses being perpetrated by the namesake of the institution. 1/29
What a beautiful call for unity & opportunity. This new chapter of American history involves everyone- not just our elected leaders. May our love for each other precede every action taken and word spoken.

Please don’t act like everyone loved my father. He was assassinated. A 1967 poll reflected that he was one of the most hated men in America. Most hated. Many who quote him now and evoke him to deter justice today would likely hate, and may already hate, the authentic King. #MLK
The past 24 hrs show the divide we face as a nation.
It’s time to break the generational cycles of me>my neighbor & my opinion>my neighbor’s wellbeing. I’m called to love my neighbor as myself. Not only when we agree, but all the time. I pray for America, for healing, for unity.
It’s honestly mind blowing how far @LibertyFootball has come in the past few years. I’m proud to call myself a flame!! 🔥🔥🔥
Now let’s BEAT COASTAL!!
Joel and I spoke from a place of love for our school. 100+ students have messaged me personally asking for change regarding @falkirk_center
We’re excited to find solutions that maintain the academic integrity of our school and keep Christ at the forefront of our mission.
Aside from our personal beliefs, our roles as student leaders mean that @JoeltheThomas and I are committed to representing all students whether you may agree or disagree with some of our personal remarks. We’d love to use your input as we navigate this. Our DM’s are open!

Over the last fifteen years, it has been student government leaders at Christian Universities who have been some of best advocates for university mission. Committed yet challenging. Listen to them.
Our job is to represent the students of our school. When an organization like @falkirk_center is attached to Liberty, it impacts the reputation of not just our school, but our students as well....
