Someone here recently asked if we’ve checked the Yankee Candle reviews lately 😂 here they are!
Crap—it’s back—Amazon reviewers last week again complaining about Yankee candle scent… Sandra complains “No smell”; LJ says it doesn’t smell as it “used to a few years back”; Mary complains she used to buy the same candle scent, but now “scent is very very weak”. #CovidIsNotOver
Also effective is waiting until you have an even more unpleasant task to do and then this one seems easy!
This may or may not be my preferred way of getting chores done

Long long shot:
Any graduate students in the humanities actively dissertating this Fall interested in a virtual writing group? We’d read + give feedback.
I’m interested in working with folks working in humanities - esp Ethnic/Black/Gender and Sexualities Studies/History.

There's still time to take @patientled's reinfections survey!
Help us understand the impact that reinfections have on health outcomes. We need responses from people who never had COVID, those who have, & those with #LongCovid.
The survey will close 8/31! bit.ly/reinfections-osm

This project will provide 200 rental units for households earning at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Notably, ten percent of these units will be dedicated to offering housing for individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Exciting news: 200 affordable housing units are underway!
Toulon Place will provide stable rental housing to families in Raleigh. This downtown-adjacent property includes a community room, kitchen, computer center, playground, and covered picnic area.
