Fed up watching the systematic degradation of Scotland. Now speaking Scotland’s truth rather than the nationalist socialist propaganda we’re fed. 💜🤍💚

The usual underwhelming nothingness then. It was less a party conference and more a congregation staring into the abyss.

Viva la revolution 😄
SNP councillors revolt over local government reform plans One of the most interesting fringe events I've attended in recent years - quite rare to see this kind of open criticism of the government: scotsman.com/news/politics/s…

What a difference from the navel gazing; back patting; self congratulatory; visionless and empty grievance mongering that’s going on at @theSNP conference in Aberdeen. No wonder @andyburnham is the only leader polling a positive rating in Scotland. #timehascome
Prime Minister Andy Burnham says the "time has come" for deeper devolution in Scotland and to unlock a feeling of positivity for young people, who he says are missing out on opportunities. trib.al/wfFezz7 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube

Someone’s pretending they can read. Not fooled @StephenFlynnSNP - this one has pictures in it. They should have done a sketch of a boat leaking gas for you, then you’d never have missed the briefing on your own portfolio.

Recognise this guy @JohnSwinney? Which John Swinney’s telling the truth? 2013 Swinney or 2026 Swinney?
Good day to remember this: in 2013, leaked cabinet papers revealed John Swinney was contemplating massive cuts to the state pension, benefits, and public sector employment in the event of Scotland voting for independence. He went ahead and campaigned for it anyway…

What’s this @JohnSwinney? @theSNP would have scrapped the pensions triple lock 6 or more years ago? Just as well we voted no and save our pensioners isn’t it.
1/🚨Well, this is awkward. Very awkward. If Scotland had voted yes in 2014, the SNP’s triple lock commitment applied only for the first term of an independent parliament. Nicola Sturgeon was unambiguous about this in the Scottish Parliament (clip is from 26th November 2013).

The double speak here is notable. I want an independent Scotland to be part of a UK constitutional arrangement. So maybe’s in maybe’s out. A bit like the current public sector reform Hokey Cokey that you and your administration are presiding over? All the vision of Mr Magoo.
Across these islands, the political landscape has changed. Scotland, Wales and the north of Ireland are led by First Ministers committed to independence from the UK. Scotland has the right to decide its future and no Westminster government can simply deny democracy.

Many of our European cousins are or already have banned face coverings. The same European communities we allegedly share so much with.

I have received the first official estimate of the cost to Scotland's pensioners of the Prime Minister's attack on the triple lock. It will take up to £4bn from Scotland's pensioners. And the Prime Minister plans to use it to pay for social care in England.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The £4bn is a Scottish Govt extrapolation of UK-wide savings for 2049-50 cash terms per their letter, not money taken from pensioners. UK pensions are reserved; English care spending rises would generate Barnett consequentials for Scotland. gov.scot/publications/d… ifs.org.uk/articles/how-w… heraldscotland.com/news/26595468.… wired-gov.net/wg/news.nsf/ar…

EXCL: Scot Gov cancelled cheap World Cup flights for John Swinney and aides after the Holyrood election ... and booked them onto business class, costing taxpayers potentially tens of thousands more. Nice work if you can get it. thescottishsun.co.uk/news/16…

Filed under “oxymoron” - that’s the 2 statements by the way… Not the moron delivering them.

Ex-SNP MSP and former Health Secretary Michael Matheson suggests that John Swinney is a fool. 🥊💥
"If you think that changing the number of health boards from 14 to two is going to improve patients' outcomes, then my view is that's fools gold and it won't deliver that for you." We used to produce engineers; economists; scientists and, ironically, educators. We led the world in these areas. Now we produce people who can express themselves artistically… Well done @theSNP and @MairiMcAllan 👏🏻
SNP schools: ‘They’re rubbish on performance criteria you can measure — reading, writing, maths — but brilliant judged by criteria you can’t — artistic expression.’ Desperate stuff from the Celtic Kailyard nomenklatura that’s run what was once one of the finest school systems in the world into the ground.

Having destroyed justice and links to local accountability; having starved town halls of decision making powers and money, it was only a matter of time before the SNP hatched a plan to centralise health removing the last vestiges of local accountability.

John Swinney flew business class on his PR trip to the World Cup ... his flight alone cost taxpayers £18,000. He took an entourage of EIGHT staff to the USA and spent £8,000 on car hire. Remember this when SNP politicians talk about the cost of living and value for taxpayers.
