I remember when you built Dodgeball @dens
It introduced me to the idea of startups and.. getting acquired. There is nothing cooler than building your dream. IMO the best founders are committed to a singular vision & devote their life to it. I love that you never “gave up”.
Thank you for sharing your lessons.
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…
Build what you want to exist.
Biggest cash prizes for runners in NYC tonight. Powered by @with_forte presented by my sprint team.
Nothing gives me more joy than watching someone who is obsessively good at what they do @ArtButSports

I did feel a huge sense of sadness when we collectively lost the craft of coding.
But an expected outcome that has me excited - I have actually found more community through AI as a solo builder than [specific lang or tech stack] conference.
We are all in this learning process and paradigm shift together. “How do I build more and better?” And it’s unlocking new areas I would’ve never explored before in order to grow my business and improve my product autonomously.
This past month, I said yes to more conferences. I’m so glad I did.
Surround yourself with makers.
"The engineering job used to be rowing, and now it's steering. There's a lot of people out in the world right now that are like, I don't want to f*cking steer. I want a row. I liked rowing." — @molly_g
Used Muse to submit disputes for a mail-in-only toll issue using Letterstream. $1k + saved, no phone calls & no post office.
Never going back.
Any day now...
Waiting for the biggest @with_forte release to drop.
I'm really proud of this because it's effectively 3 major releases in one. It also combines my 13+ years of building pro creative tools at @Adobe + Aviary + IAC, my late-in-life pursuit of training/racing & community building 🥰
As a bootstrapped solo designer and builder working on @with_forte, I can’t help but feel proud of some of the architecture decisions I made a couple years ago, especially the ones that now let me ship faster than some VC-backed companies with entire teams of engineers and designers.
Building a universal app in a monorepo with @tamagui_js, @Expo, and @vercel, with shared cross-platform abstractions across web, iOS, and (eventually) Android, required a lot of upfront conviction.
It wasn’t always the fastest path then, but the payoff compounds. Today, I can build and ship across platforms at a speed that would have felt impossible when I started.
Good architecture is delayed gratification.
I just signed up for another sprint race on @with_forte, and I can’t help but see the parallel: get in the arena, train every day and trust that the work compounds.
This week, I’m preparing to make the next major architectural leap for the product.

Posh rebuilt their entire mobile CI/CD because manual releases and a rotating "release train manager" had become their biggest bottleneck. The payoff: OTA updates multiple times a week and the #1 spot in Entertainment on the App Store.
Their founding engineer did it on EAS Workflows and fingerprinting: PR previews with QR codes, staging-first OTA branches so MERGED never means DEPLOYED, and auto version bumps when native code changes.

People are like "You're just running a lifestyle business."
“Yeah I have a business and a lifestyle and my lifestyle happens to include a fucking yellow Lamborghini.”
One of the most unexpected and rewarding parts of building a product with and for friends and community has been watching multiple friends grow their side projects to six figures in revenue.
It makes me think about what this must feel like at @tobi’s scale. You build something to solve your own problem then watch it expand across industries, communities.
Combining 3 of the biggest releases and features ever for @with_forte into one and I can't wait to share.
The danger with Fable is that it’s so good it makes scope creep feel impossible to resist. AI pyschosis?
