I’m in love with this sentence:
You need to be more afraid of wasting your life than embarrassing yourself.

Your entire life changes when you realize how powerful presence really is. Not looks. Not money. Not status. Presence. The ability to actually be where you are. Put the phone away. Look people in the eyes. Listen. Ask questions because you're genuinely curious. Smile. Show enthusiasm. Stop thinking about how you're being perceived. Start paying attention to the people in front of you. Most people aren't fully present anymore. Their body is in the room, but their mind is somewhere else.

You CANNOT go back in time and change the decisions you took. Forgive yourself, move on, be your best version. You're alive and until death all defeat is psychological.
Rebuild.

John Lennon arriving at the studio to play "Strawberry Fields Forever" for the first time, November 24, 1966.
"The first time John sang "Strawberry Fields" with just an acoustic guitar, it was magical. Absolutely wonderful. I have always loved John's voice."

Happy Birthday, America.
I’m terrible at remembering birthdays… except yours and mine. Yours, because I get an extra day off. Mine, because it reminds me that I am getting older.
I wasn’t planning to write a monologue for your 250th birthday. Then I thought about it for a minute and realized nobody would care—not you, not me,
What matters most is this: I love you.
Your existence has been one of the greatest net positives for human civilization. You are loved and admired by billions. Even many of your haters love you without realizing it. Heck, even the Taliban couldn’t do without American weapons.
I won’t bore you by listing everything you’ve given the world—personal computers, the telephone, smartphones, airplanes, the internet, or the AI revolution. Nor will I put you on a pedestal by reminding everyone that you helped defeat fascism and played a central role in rebuilding Europe after World War II.
To me, though, America isn’t Washington, D.C. It’s my neighbors, my friends and family, the shopkeeper on the corner, the stranger who holds the door open, and every kind soul I’ve met here. It’s also the extraordinary opportunities you’ve offered to countless people from every corner of the world—including me.
Didn’t I begin by saying I wasn’t going to write a monologue?
Let’s all pretend I never started.
Happy 250th once again.
With love.

ANDREJ KARPATHY COULD HAVE CHARGED $2,000 FOR THIS COURSE.
He put it on YouTube.
The full training stack. Tokenization. Neural network internals. Hallucinations. Tool use. Reinforcement learning. RLHF. DeepSeek. AlphaGo.
3 hours of the most comprehensive LLM education that exists anywhere at any price.
Not how to use the tools.
How the entire system was built from the ground up and why it behaves the way it does.
The engineers who understand this build things the ones who only use the tools cannot even conceive of.
The gap between those two groups is not 3 hours.
It is everything those 3 hours quietly unlock for the rest of your career.

What a wonderful news for cancer patients. Finally a great use of MRNA technology.
Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial. Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later.

A woman claimed she could smell Parkinson's disease. Scientists tested her with 12 T-shirts—six from patients and six from healthy people. She correctly identified all the patients and flagged one “healthy” person. Eight months later, that person was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
Her name is Joy Milne, a retired nurse from Scotland, and her observation started with her husband years before his diagnosis. She noticed a distinct, musky change in his scent, long before any clinical symptoms appeared.
Researchers later traced what she was detecting to changes in sebum, the oily substance produced by the skin. In people with Parkinson’s, its chemical composition shifts, producing a unique odor signature. Scientists at the University of Manchester used her ability to help identify specific compounds linked to the disease.
That work has since led to the development of experimental diagnostic tools, some using mass spectrometry, others even training AI systems to recognize the same chemical patterns. The goal is early detection, potentially years before symptoms like tremors or stiffness begin.
Parkinson’s is typically diagnosed only after about 60–70% of dopamine-producing neurons are already lost, making early, non-invasive detection methods like this especially valuable.

On this day in 1995: the first item was purchased on Amazon.

I like this version better than Dylan’s
"But to live outside the law, you must be honest ..."
Hmmm. Is that true? :)
