For the first time in 60 years, passenger services will now run along the Northumberland line.
When the 18-mile line opens, services will call at stations in Ashington, Seaton Delaval, Manors and Newcastle.
Northern will run two daytime services an hour from Monday to Saturday and one train per hour in the evenings and on Sundays. A journey along the entire route will take around 35 minutes and a single fare will cost no more than £3.

GOOD NEWS!
Following extensive works by multiple teams within the industry we plan to re-open the line on Monday!
Works are almost complete in repairing the railway and we'll be running some test trains over the weekend to make sure the line is ready for Monday morning.
Thanks for everyone's patience and all those who have worked around the clock to get things ready for opening on Monday.
