I am Saul become Paul. Have discovered that my private school/Russell Group, rugby playing, RP speaking, young professional, black sons are routinely stopped for no reason and don’t even bother telling me. @pritipatel , what the hell is going on?

BREAKING: GET HIM! Reporter Andrew Feinberg publicly humiliates Trump after he SNAPPED at him in the Oval Office and claimed to not know who he is. The dementia is undeniable now... "I had told him exactly who I was not five minutes before this exchange," Feinberg, a journalist for The Independent, wrote on X in response to a viral clip of Trump attacking him earlier today. "No, no, listen to you!" a dull-faced, visibly confused Trump says in the video, pointing at the reporter. "Hey! I'm not playing. You better— You better— I don't know who the hell you are but you better be careful." The inexplicable outburst had all of the hallmarks of a dementia patient lashing out in befuddlement. People suffering from this kind of cognitive decline often forget names and faces and end up angry, scared, and mean. You don't even have to do anything upsetting to set them off. Their own uncontrollable emotions do that. Tellingly, it wasn't the only bizarre moment during the Oval Office press conference today. Trump also went after Feinberg for asking a different harmless question and growled at him in a strange voice, calling him a "sick person." This President is clearly in free fall and the continued silence of the Republican Party is a damning indictment of their entire movement. These cowards are so addicted to power that they are going to let this man run the country into the ground as his brain melts out of his ears. Please ❤️ and share if you support invoking the 25th Amendment!

If Reform had a Defence Spokesperson they’d have realised that we announced our tax-free reserve service pledge in June.
As @Nigel_Farage has announced in Plymouth, under a Reform government those in our Armed Forces Reserves will pay no tax whatsoever on their service to our country 🇬🇧

Badenochs speech was really very good just now. Look, we have to be honest about 2024: the voters gave the Tories a brutal, necessary wake-up call🤦‍♀️We earned that loss. Badenoch is doing all she can to recognise where it went wrong and to rectify it. But looking at the wreckage of what’s happening now under Labour the British electorate faces a serious choice. At the minute we are flooded with parties selling cheap, instant answers.  But shouting slogans won’t fix the country or reform a failing state. Knee-jerk reactions are a trap. We also know Labour’s default position is always the same: tax more, spend more, regulate more, and pretend the state can give us prosperity from a desk in Whitehall, or Number 10 North fgs. It has never worked. The real Conservatism Badenoch is talking about isn’t  chasing the 24-hour news cycle with half-baked policy promises to win a headline.  It’s about doing the quiet, behind the scenes work to get the principles right first: liberty, state competence, and personal growth. The  choice ahead of us isn’t between different management teams.  It’s a choice between superficial soundbites that crumble under pressure, and a calm, serious plan designed to rebuild Britain’s foundations.  Intellectually Badenoch is head and shoulders above the rest - Common sense wise - ditto.   It would be a serious mistake to gravitate towards a political party because they shout the loudest. We have to choose substance imo.

Cloud cuckoo land is just over the channel.
At 25, you might dream of studying in Rome. At 45, you might discover a business opportunity in Berlin. At 65, you might want to retire in Spain. Freedom of Movement meant you didn't have to know your future in advance. That's the extraordinary freedom Brexit took away.

🚨BREAKING🚨 New polling conducted for City AM, published in the last hour, shows that two thirds of Brits would OPPOSE rejoining the EU if it meant a commitment to adopt the Euro at any point in the future. Which it would. This is terminal for the Rejoin campaign. Terminal.

Trump said Biden gave Ukraine “massive amounts” of Tomahawks (and Patriots), depleting US stocks rather than the Iran war. Fact-check: The US has supplied zero Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine under any administration. No confirmed transfers exist; Ukraine requested them and talks occurred, but none were delivered. Patriots yes. Official US security assistance is roughly $68B, not $350B. No evidence supports claims of Ukraine reselling US weapons on open markets.

Meet Imam Yasin Munye of the Hackney Islamic Community Centre, who can be seen here telling listeners to discipline their wives “by lightly hitting them to show who is in charge”. The Mail investigation revealed shocking evidence of imams endorsing physical violence against women for “disobedience” or refusing sex. I have written to the Director of Public Prosecutions asking whether he intends to pursue prosecutions — and, if not, why not? A thread 1/9:

NEW UK GDP in August now up 0.7% on the 3 month measure… rises by 0.1% in the single month, defying expectation of a fallback after strong July. June also revised up. Heading for a decent Q3.

I just had to tell Claude AI he’d made mistake. He was fine with it - in fact, he even told me that my TV aerial was about to fall off and I should get up on the roof to fix it.

Dare I say it but perhaps the Conservative Party can finally be home again for those of us who want sound finances, a smaller state and pragmatic centre right policies rather than populist, inflammatory drivel….

🚨 The IMF just downgraded Britain’s growth forecast. High energy and borrowing costs are killing our economy. John Healey needs to get a grip. Instead of more tax rises, cut welfare spending and get Britain drilling in the North Sea. You can’t tax your way to prosperity.

WTF is @faisalislam at @BBCNews playing at? Last night the IMF cut theUK growth forecast and warned of the urgent need to cut benefits. Faisal’s report this morning? Good news, the IMF says the deficit will start to reduce in 2030!! Massive, blatant pro-Labour bias.
