We need to speak out about what is happening right now: The United States government is starving the Cuban people.
11 million people without fuel. Children without food or medicine. Hospitals without power. Babies dying without working incubators.
End the blockade now.

Don’t let them re-write history: Gloria Steinem was a CIA asset who was tasked with subverting the feminist movement away from class-based analysis.
She founded the Independent Research Service that was funded by the CIA to spread anti-communist propaganda at youth festivals abroad.
When she was exposed as a CIA operative in 1967, Steinem confirmed her role to The New York Times without apology, claiming the CIA is “liberal, nonviolent, and honorable” and that she would do it again.
The CIA is one of the most violent organizations in history.
BREAKING: Women's liberation icon Gloria Steinem has died.
"Yesterday, Gloria Steinem passed away peacefully at her home in New York City, surrounded by some of the many who loved her," a post on her official Instagram said.

✊🏽Today we honor revolutionary socialist and Chairman of the Chicago Black Panther Party Fred Hampton, on what would have been his 78th birthday.
Assassinated at the age of 21 by the Chicago Police Department and the FBI, Fred Hampton was a pillar of the fight for Black liberation, a defender of all oppressed communities, and unifying force for working people from all walks of life who understand they have a common enemy. Today, freedom fighters continue to stand on his shoulders.
As Chairman Hampton said himself, “You can kill a revolutionary, but you can never kill a revolution.”

🇨🇺END THE U.S. BLOCKADE ON CUBA!
Instead of funding people’s needs at home, Trump and Rubio are using our tax dollars to wage a silent genocide against the Cuban people. Why? For daring to build a society premised on their independence, sovereignty and well-being rather than a deference to Washington and US empire. 🧵

🇨🇺Today marks the 100th birthday of Fidel Castro — historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and an international symbol of the socialist and anti-imperialist struggle.
Fidel inspired Cuban workers, students, and peasants to challenge U.S. imperialism and fight for a society built by and for the Cuban people.
Fidel always emphasized the importance of internationalism, which in Cuba has taken the form of everything from direct support for liberation movements — from Angola to Vietnam, Palestine to the Congo — to sending doctors and teachers abroad. Fidel understood that Cuba’s revolution could never be separated from the struggles of people fighting for self-determination around the world.
Today, Cuba is being brutally punished by the U.S. government for daring to forge its own path of independence and social equality – the ideals that Fidel fought his entire life for. Fidel's spirit and vision for a socialist future lives on in the determination of the Cuban people, who continue to defend their revolutionary project in the midst of these brutal, ongoing attacks.
Socialist Cuba shows that it is possible for the people to take power and defend their revolution against all odds. We commit to learning from Cuba and defending its sovereignty! End the genocidal U.S. blockade on Cuba now! Let Cuba Live!

Pensar que hay académicos que te miran como si estuvieras loco cuando decís que Estados Unidos tiene un plan claro y concreto para el dominio de América Latina

Hard to overstate how ridiculously hyperbolic it is to assume that we either get AOC into office or never in our lifetimes ever have hopes of possibly building/seizing power. We are a blip in the larger history of struggle. I can promise it will continue and grow well after us.

I find the “woke 1 was crazy” thing is pretty distasteful. We watched George Floyd get murdered on video, as he screamed and cried for his mother. The politics that came in response to that was an honest way of trying to combat the institutions that produced that outcome.
