Show me a teacher who, while not qualified through study, but has years of experience, has never said “That kid is/has…” All this holier than thou crap does my head in. We know we’re not qualified but we’ve met 1000s of kids & can have a professional opinion based on experience.

When you’ve been in the classroom for a long time, you get to know the signs and that’s the point you refer and mention to SENDCO.

After 6months off with burnout, I went back to work this morning as part of my phased return! I hadn’t realised how much I’d missed the children.

We've added Auroran Sky by Grace Exley to the list today. Has your head been turned this weekend? Tell us your favourite so far... 3 still to go! (How am I going to fit them on one page remains to be seen). #TeacherPlanner #Teaching #OrganisedTeacher

I hear you! So many people are in a similar boat. This job has changed and it’s exhausting, but you do need to put your all into it. I’m currently off after being diagnosed with burnout!

Good morning #edutwitter Calling all secondary maths wonders - my 15yo niece is struggling with her times tables- she had them at primary but a lack of confidence has hit hard! Is there teenage friendly way of learning them?

Phase 8 usually has loads of lovely things! And there’s the boutique in Truro opposite the old ale house too x

In other news, last night I bumped into a former pupil in the pub while out having a quiet drink on the way home from work. Always lovely to meet them when they’re grown up and find out what they’re up to, always chuffed they remember me too!

I had that this week. A ex-pupil came bounding up to me outside a supermarket! Gave me a hug and were so excited to tell me what they were up to!

What age did people have their first child? I’m 30 this year and felt for sure I’d have 2 children by now, but unfortunately life has other plans. I’m so worried by having children in my 30s I’ll stick out as the ‘oldest mum on the playground’
