Shri Sharadamba today's 'Veena Sharada' Shashthi tithi Navaratri Saraswati Alankara at Sharadapeetham, Sringeri 🪷 Saguna Roopam & Jala Roopam of Devi Saraswati Sanskrit is the written form of देवी सरस्वती, hence is also called 'मातृका' . The root of 'मातृका' is 'मातर्' which also means 'mother' Who is देवी सरस्वती. Devi Saraswati is Herself वाग्देवी, the presiding diety over speech & intellect. She is वाणी & lords over our all 4 वाणी's ie. परा, पश्यंती, मध्यमा, & वैखरी. She is वाचा which is derived from the dhātu वच् in Sanskrit. Devi adorns white garments, signifying purity & holds a Sphatik or crystal Māla in Her hand. Sphatik or crystal is clear & connected to sound vibrations. Crystal bead Māla signifies that the Sādhaka should be regular in his Japa as a part of Sādhana which results evolvement over a period if performed regularly. कविप्रियां काव्यसुरेज्यपूज्यां कवीन्द्रजिह्वासु सदा वसन्तीम्। गान्धर्वकाव्यादिकलां परेशीं शिवानुजां वाचमहं प्रणौमि॥ Obeisance to the Goddess of speech, the beloved of Brahmā and the younger sister of Siva, who is worshipped by Sukra & Guru, who resides on the tongues of great poets and whose manifestations are music and poetry. Jala Roopam of Devi Saraswati 🌊 Devi Saraswati river originates here near Veda Vyas Gufa in Mana, Uttarakhand. She joines the river Alaknanda at Keshavprayag among the Panchaprayag at Mana, near Badrinath, Uttarakhand. The legend goes that Maharshi Veda Vyasa was disturbed while narrating the Mahabharata to Shri Ganesh here, by the loud sound of her flow, & he cursed her to remain silent. From this point onwards Devi Saraswati becomes Gupt Saraswati (silent). She directly appears from underground at Triveni Sangam Prayagraj, the divine confluence of Ganga, Yamuna & Saraswati. She also appears & joins rivers Hiranya, Kapila at Triveni Sangam in Dehotsarg at Prabhas in Gujarat. At both these places we cannot see her directly since she emerges from underground.
