Posts circulating in certain media outlets and on social media accounts claiming that “Europe is dumping its waste in Türkiye” constitute a gross manipulation that distorts the facts. The import of waste for disposal, hazardous materials or non-recyclable rubbish into Türkiye is strictly prohibited. Only clean, source-separated waste intended for use as raw material in industry is permitted, provided it is processed at licensed facilities. No shipment that fails to meet the required standards is allowed to enter Türkiye, and such shipments are immediately returned to their countries of origin. Accepted shipments are monitored in real time through tracking systems from customs clearance until they reach the processing facility. Inspections of facilities and entities that violate environmental legislation continue under a zero-tolerance policy. The fact that this issue is being distorted and brought to the fore, particularly ahead of the COP31 Climate Summit to be hosted by Türkiye, clearly indicates a malicious attempt to manipulate public perception. We urge the public not to give credence to such baseless and misleading content targeting Türkiye, a country that is leading environmental policies at the global level through the Zero Waste Movement, and to rely solely on official statements issued by the competent institutions and authorities.

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran: “The unanimous approval by Libya’s House of Representatives of the memorandum of understanding on maritime jurisdiction areas signed with Türkiye is a significant and welcome step for Türkiye-Libya relations and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean. This decision represents an important development in terms of protecting the shared rights and interests of the two countries in the Eastern Mediterranean, delimiting maritime jurisdiction areas on the basis of equity, and strengthening regional cooperation. Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue to protect its legitimate rights and interests in the Blue Homeland while further developing its relations with friendly and brotherly Libya and supporting equitable sharing, peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.”

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran: “The submission to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye of the bill on the ratification of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement signed between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan marks an important step towards the institutionalisation of strategic cooperation among the three brotherly countries. This strategic partnership developed among our countries aims to strengthen collective deterrence, enhance joint capabilities in the field of defence, and safeguard security and stability in our region. The Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, which is founded on the principle that the countries of the region should assume responsibility for regional affairs, is a manifestation of our shared resolve to prioritise security and solidarity. I hope that the ratification process in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye will yield positive outcomes for our country and our brotherly countries, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and I would like to thank in advance all political parties and members of parliament who have contributed to this process.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at “Mukhtars’ Day Gathering”: "Remember, 'Great nations face great trials.' As the Turkish nation, throughout our history, our trials have indeed been as great as our struggles and victories. Today, we are once again in the midst of a great struggle. In this struggle, those who seek to tear our region apart will never leave us in peace as long as we continue to thwart their plans. Just like our heroic ancestors, as long as we courageously stand with the oppressed, regardless of their faith, rather than with the oppressors, they will continue to target us. Sometimes through their agents at home, such as FETÖ, who disguise themselves as righteous... Sometimes through their lobbies abroad... Sometimes through their economic hitmen… Sometimes through their proxies in the international media... And sometimes, through their social media operatives, they will target us. They will try to distract us. They will try to divert us from our path. They will try to weaken our grip and force us to abandon our ambitions. Allah willing, we will not give them that opportunity. We will not bow down to those who seek to build their own prosperity by exploiting the world and turning our region into a bloodbath."

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran: “I commemorate with mercy and respect the wise leader Alija Izetbegovic, who led brotherly Bosnia and Herzegovina’s struggle for independence and united his people’s struggle for freedom and dignity with the values of justice, morality and humanity, on the anniversary of his passing. Known as the ‘Wise King’, Izetbegovic was a statesman who gave hope to his people amid war and siege, and a great thinker who probed profound questions about the meaning of being human, faith, morality and civilisation between East and West. He left behind not only an independent homeland but also a rich intellectual legacy rooted in human dignity, the will to coexist and justice. May his soul rest in peace, and may Allah grant him Paradise.”

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran: "Osman Gazi, Türkiye’s first floating production platform, is being sent off from Filyos to its operational site in the Blue Homeland at a ceremony to be held today. Osman Gazi will operate for 20 years at its designated location in the Black Sea. This massive facility will process natural gas extracted from the seabed and feed it into our national grid, adding new production capacity to our country’s energy infrastructure. Once the platform becomes operational, daily natural gas production at the Sakarya Gas Field is expected to double to 20 million cubic metres, while the number of households whose natural gas needs are met by our domestic resources is targeted to increase from 4 million to 8 million. This strategic investment, expected to contribute $3.5 billion annually to our national economy, is also vital to strengthening our energy supply security and reducing our dependence on foreign sources. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and in line with our vision of the Century of Türkiye, we are harnessing the resources beneath the depths of the Blue Homeland for the benefit of our nation, bringing us one step closer to our goal of full energy independence. The energy of the Black Sea is powering Türkiye’s future."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: "Our bilateral cooperation with Cambodia also contributes to the establishment of global peace, stability, and prosperity. We very much welcome Cambodia's participation in the Gaza Board of Peace as a founding member. I believe Cambodia will continue to contribute to efforts towards a two-state solution in Palestine. We hope that the border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand will be resolved through dialogue and peaceful means on the basis of international law. We continue to support civilians affected by the clashes. In cooperation with the Cambodian authorities, we have delivered assistance to more than 3,000 people so far. We will continue to provide humanitarian assistance."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia: "I regard Cambodia, with which our relations have developed rapidly, particularly in recent years, as an important partner in Southeast Asia. During our bilateral and inter-delegation meetings with the Prime Minister, we thoroughly reviewed our relations. During his visit to our country in 2018, we agreed with then-Prime Minister Hun Sen to increase our bilateral trade volume to $1 billion. Our efforts to achieve this goal are ongoing. I hope that the Türkiye–Cambodia Business Forum held this morning will strengthen contacts between our business communities. The Prime Minister and I discussed our cooperation in trade and investment, as well as in the defence industry, energy, education and culture. We are pleased with Cambodia's interest in our defence industry products. We have significant potential in this area and, inshallah, we will further enhance our cooperation. The projects carried out by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Yunus Emre Institute in Cambodia contribute significantly to our people-to-people ties. Through the Türkiye Scholarships programme, we also support Cambodian students in their education."
