Chapman's Ice Cream just did something EVERY Canadian needs to know about.
Canada's largest ice cream company used to source its fruits and nuts from U.S. suppliers โ some for over 30 YEARS. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products.
So, what did Chapman's do?
They called Italy.
They called Spain.
They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers.
And the Vice President put it perfectly:
"Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we are about to sign long-term agreements with other countries โ and the American companies supplying them will be left with nothing but their eyes to cry."
Oh, and on top of ALL that? They are FREEZING their prices so the average Canadian doesn't have to pay a single penny more.
Itโs a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying, "The least we can do is make sure Canadians can still afford ice cream."
This is what Canadian corporate pride looks like.
The next time you're at the grocery store โ grab some Chapman's.
Every scoop of ice cream is a vote for Canada.
TAG a Canadian who needs to see this!
SHARE if you're proud to be Canadian!

Meanwhile in Canada; โLake Ontario still wet, still ours, still not a crisis".

I just spent a few days in the states and the myth of it being cheaper was smashed. Everything was priced similar to what we'd pay in Canada (before even taking exchange into account) plus it seemed like they added a ton of tax etc.
Dear USA, enjoy paying 50% more for whatever shit you think you don't need from Canada like softwood lumber, potash, rare earth minerals... Meanwhie I'll drink my Old Fashioned with fine Canadian whiskey (sorry @WoodfordReserve I'm sure we'll be friends again in a few years).

I'm just catching up to the dumbest Mulroney, whose entire family was given a pass in every capacity throughout their lives, so that Bell, Doug Ford, and others could have access to their dad. Calling someone else a nepo baby is fucking HILARIOUS to me.
@BenMulroney, you, sir, are the fucking dictionary version of that term. And the worst broadcaster I have ever met. The only reason you do your shitty am radio show for a penny-stock media company is because of your last name, my man. Time to accept it.

Uh, itโs pretty easy to understand. PAY YOUR WORKERS A FAIR FUCKIN WAGE FOR =ALL= THE WORK THEY DO.
I'm going to sound like a whiner but we don't qualify for Danie bucks, or household is slightly above the cutoff. I get that but in the last week we've spent $700 on groceries $120 on gas not to mention all other expenses that are increasing. $200 would really help right now.

Regarding Hockey Night in Canada being cancelled on @CBC a couple of questions:
Who actually watches over the air TV these days. Most modern tv's don't even pick up over the air without a digital antenna.
It's a couple games a week. It's that all the hockey you really watch?
I think you should all try this. It's great information and gives you an idea about what separation from Canada could really mean.ย
