you can talk about the late game botch, but Dan Quinn screwed up the game for the Commanders well before that
first half, Quinn went 22% man coverage & 50% 2-high (#5 highest)
held Jameis Winston 4.5 YPA, 44% comp & -0.58 EPA/att
it worked
but in the second half, despite losing, the Giants went WAY more heavy personnel, dropping 11 personnel from 43% to 25%
...but they passed out of it (of course they would, they were down 2 TDs)
but Quinn matched personnel & played 43% man coverage (#5 highest) & 18% 2-high
Jameis vs more favorable coverages in the second half?
+0.67 EPA/att (#4)
68% success (#1)
3:0 TD:INT (#1)
10.7% TD rate (#2)
Quinn was massively outcoached by Matt Nagy in the second half

The most critical/important play of the 4th quarter was Isaiah Likely's TD. Never in my life have I seen the most important player on an opposing team's offense get 13 free yards!! On a 4th and 7!! Never in my life bruh, I swear.

For those wondering why they didn't just kick it when they got it to the Giant 25 with 40+ seconds left, it's because you want the kick to be the last play of OT in the event the kick is missed. Don't want the Giants to get another chance after a missed FG.

A surprise: Commanders waived sixth-round pick, running back Kaytron Allen.

Commanders OC David Blough is only 31-years-old. He has 7 career starts. Might be their best option.

Nick Allegretti is bad, but he can’t be as bad as Gulbin has been.
Gotta put him in the game, unfortunately.

Seahawks now have won a franchise-record 12 straight games. The last NFL team to win 13 straight games was the 2023-24 Chiefs, who won 15 straight.
Seahawks have allowed 10 or fewer points in four straight regular-season games dating back to last season; a fifth consecutive game would tie the 2006 Broncos, 2005 Colts and 2000 Steelers for the second longest streak in the NFL over the last 30 seasons. The 1999 Jaguars did it in six straight games.

That's the Commanders best win since the 2024 NFC Championship game run.
For my money, this was the most impressive and unlikely regular season win of the Dan Quinn era. Maybe since Cincinnati?
✅ No Daniels. Mariota was great.
✅ No Cosmi.
✅ No Luvu.
✅ No Chig.
They'd lost 12 of 14. Seattle had won 12 of 13.
Quinn needed today. This team needed today. Trajectory and outlook feels very different after a performance like this.
Let's go have a season.
