Kinda insane how this movie had more balls to make the parents the bad guys than The Batman did

Por que están en el espacio enfrentándose a Galactus??? Nah, puro fan service, mil veces mejor que trabajen en un pueblo rural de Texas resolviendo un misterio, que ninguno use sus poderes y que Galactus solo sea un tipo bien altote

Once again Grant Morrison was right

I love how people are debating the quality of this show. Like it's not happening, stop arguing about a hypothetical scenario. We will never know if it will be dogshit or not.
Regardless, the concept art is something I would like to see in Lanterns season 2. Embracing the sci-fi

First concept art from the cancelled ‘GREEN LANTERN’ series.
• Would have took place in 2 time periods - Alan Scott in 1941 and Guy Gardner in 1984
• Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Kilowog & Sinestro would’ve been in the series + a new Lantern character Bree Jarta
• The Manhunters were planned to be the primary villains
• Seth Grahame-Smith was set to serve as showrunner with Marc Guggenheim in the writers room

The fact that a SHIELD spy thriller is seen as a reaction to a Green Lantern show is so sad for the Green Lantern brand

Green Lanterns? In space? In uniform? Using their powers? Man, if you don’t get that shit outta my face!

they scrapped this so Hal could get headshot by a psycho cop and so John could be depicted as an anti-hero btw

Anyone who has ever read any fantasy novel could tell you that magic powers are in fact not a detriment to character driven storytelling and that drawing a line in the sand between good "grounded" tv and something more epic or operatic is dumb

I would expect Green Lantern constructs in a Lanterns show just like how I would expect Super Skrulls in a Secret Invasion show

The whole "thank god there was no CGI fight" argument is disingenuous and highlights why Lanterns was something of a futile endeavor as an adaptation. It was made to be explicitly different and watered down to something you can only BARELY recognize as Green Lantern.

When the DCU was first announced this was exactly what the selling point was. This is exactly why fans said it was going to be good.
Now they're trying to pretend what they always wanted was geounded True Detective from Temu.
