Sweat for the Vets on 8/15 was a success! Organized by the Student AMOPS Chapter at UNE COM, the event brought together more than 50 participants for a beautiful day of fitness, service, and fun. We raised over $1,500 for Maine Paws for Veterans and Maine Veterans Project!

UNE COM students recently took part in a Rural Health Immersion in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, gaining firsthand experience in rural medicine. They shadowed providers, explored community resources, and saw both the challenges and strong patient connections that define rural care.

UNE scientists, led by Associate Professor Scott Wood, have developed an artificial joint lining that mimics how real joints produce lubricating fluid.The breakthrough could improve arthritis research, drug testing, and even lead to personalized “joint-on-a-chip” treatments.
