Lloyds arguing that the ongoing Open Banking commercial model is challenged as a few institutions had to fund the project but many more industry players benefitted from OB. For me, banks need to view their APIs as their new branch network and just open them up.
Revolut are very pleased with their banking licence and look forward to now launching the products they believe customers want.
Visa adding more colour around, fraud still being an issue, as is friction in the checkout. Fintech access is also an issue. Enabling growth needs new players and for me the accessibility and cost of using the core faster payments scheme remains serious barriers.
