My experience partying all night at Berghain in Berlin made me think of how we're lacking this experience in the San Francisco tech scene. We can literally become the coolest, most tasteful social scene on Earth if we had our version of Berghain, but better. So let's build it. The best aspect of Berhain is how they select who gets in. The club has a vibe and atmosphere, and if you aren't wearing the right clothes or have the right demeanor, you don't get in. That's how you cultivate a tasteful crowd. We can improve on this by only letting in high agency, talented operators in the tech scene who can still pull off dope outfits, so no geeks. SF is in dire need of late night venues, and Berghain goes until 8am. That's a little too crazy for high net worth operators who are changing the world so we could do something like 2am. Berghain also is kinda dark and in a weird building so we'd put the club in a SoMa corporate office that we convert to speakeasy or barcade vibe. Maybe add a quiet area for people to bring their laptops and work? I honestly feel like we're improving on the Berghain form here, especially by swapping out the crowd of weird partiers in inappropriate clothes (or lack there of) with insanely cracked founders and engineers. I'm super stoked about this idea, SF tech could really run the dopest parties on the planet.

A couple months ago I went to a gun show in my home town. Gun shows in the US are cool bc you DON’T need a background check when buying a gun from a private party. Similar to buying gold in the US with a private party, you don’t need to fill out any KYC docs. With the tech privacy chains bring, I see similar types of in person meetups happening for P2P transfers in the future (5-10 years out)
Guns and Zcash are all you need. 🇺🇸

Perhaps one of the last protocols fully implemented by a Natural Intelligence (me)
Excited to open-source Argo! The most practical trust-minimized Bitcoin bridging: • Setup time: ~100ms • Offchain cost: ~10MB • Onchain cost: ~$8 🤖 Throw your clankers at it and help us harden it github.com/idealgroup/argo?_

Raising $100M for a startup that turns litecoin into bitcoin through a series of tractable engineering problems

In 2025, we published a bold proposal to use fusion reactors for gold production. And now we’ve done it: Mercury transmuted into stable gold, using fusion neutrons, at 10x the record set by CERN in 2025. We’ve reduced alchemy to a series of difficult but tractable engineering problems.

As the Internet gets compromised and tries to figure out where all their servers are… It’s nice to know that decentralized consensus is very resilient to this… Working code means running blockchain, so patches happen fast and completely. Zcash did this.

If it can be shut down it was never a protocol anyways
Compiled a list of protocols that have shut down in 2026. 82 protocols year-to-date. I've never seen anything like this before.

Waka waka, middlemen. 🟡 Read Zcash straight from the source: grants, treasuries, governance and on-chain data, all openzcash!

Almost looks like brain scans of severe dementia
Detroit, like most cities, was decimated by "urban renewal" demolitions. What was built after was far less dense and walkable.

TLDR for crypto people: > Be me > Ran ETH validator while I lived on Wall Street > Get call from federal prosecutor 3 years later > HIM: "We're prosecuting hacker of Uranium Finance" > HIM: "Need you to come testify that you ran a node for proof of Venue, its a law that requires crimes are tried where they are committed" > Law doesn't make sense when applied to crypto, but whatever > Me: "ok, how did you find me?" > HIM: "Matching Etherscan and Verizon IP records" > Fly to NYC > Take oath and tesify > HIM: "Cool thx bro" > Post story on X > Avi Eisenberg replies > Avi's convictions were thrown out, not because he didn't do it, but because they couldn't prove it happened in the district he was tried > Realize I'm the fix > Realize everyone who runs a node is a witness to all crimes that occur on that blockchain State of modern crypto law
I had to testify in a trial I wasn't involved in. Here's my story:

Zakura's wallet and cryptography support libraries are integrating @ValarGroup's PIR-based tech that Tachyon depends on for its payment protocol, and some of it is immediately useful today! Any wallet can use or even fork this code: it's free, open-source, and permissionless.

one of the best things about working with zcash-ers is the relentless pursuit of SoTA privacy AND best in class UX life is so short, and engineering is time consuming might as well go HAM amirite
How we’re making Zcash quantum unlinkable through the use of one-time IVKs! In this video, I talk about how sharing your shielded address opens you up to a specific quantum attack, and how we solved this linkage for a common feature you probably exposed yourself to already.

So many constraints on Zcash disappear once you have the practical PIR that the Zakura team developed

Privacy that depends on a policy can be taken back by the next policy. Privacy that depends on cryptography can't. Stay shielded with Vizor.

Money was private for thousands of years, right up until the second half of the 20th century. Transparent money is an anomaly historically speaking. Zcash is the correction.

naturally, @ValarGroup and @ZakuraZcash used some old and new tricks here to get SoTA performance 1) start pull based when joining the network, then switch to push after routes are learned. fallback to pull when needed 2) since routes remain relatively static depending on entry point, use that to learn push routes 3) put haves and data in the same channel, organically discovering congestion and fastest routes w/o explicit measurement 4) use parity data and a "miner mesh" for safety 5) broadcast tree from the miner 6) stripes to start decoding on the fly probably forgetting other cool stuff. read more here github.com/zakura-core/zakur…
Zcash engineer Evan Forbes reveals upcoming improvements to Zcash's block propagation, targeting multi-gigabit throughput and significantly faster blocks “One of the bottlenecks is block propagation. So this is how big the block can get. The bigger you can make it, the higher throughput it is” “Zcash previously didn't really need that high of throughput or that low of latency. However it did need this robustness” “The first thing that we optimized for was just robustness. We didn't really have to think about throughput or latency” “However we can actually preserve that robust quality of where the network can kind of look however it needs to look in that moment and we can learn on the fly of what's the highest throughput and lowest latency path for the data to take” “We follow a few simple rules and from those rules even though we only have a local view, we can find the highest throughput lowest latency path or at least close” “This is coming to a testnet near you where we have this multi-gigabit throughput and much, much faster blocks”

Shielding isn't a car wash. Drive in then drive straight out with the same amount, and you've drawn a line from entrance to exit. Privacy is a place you live, not a tunnel you pass through. Shield your ZEC. Stay shielded. Pay shielded-to-shielded. The longer and more normally you use the pool, the less your activity stands out.
The Ledger hackers used zcash:native but it’s being traced. I thought it was private?

@vizorwallet is living in the future. First to voting, fast ZKPs, Ledger integration, invented gift cards, and most recently PIR! The PIR update of vizor is the first time wallets have taken RPC privacy seriously in the history of blockchain

Dude Monero glows so hard it's actually insane. Historic honeypot. "Yes come use our coin we're the dark evil CRIME coin you can trust! Use our coin to buy DRUGS and do ILLEGAL shit! Don't worry about why DNMs have an average lifespan of 3 months MAX"
The feds pushing criminals to use Monero are clever 1. Convince criminals that XMR magically protects them 2. They swap illicit funds through surveilled exchanges 3. Exchange snitches logs to feds 4. Pwned via correlation attack At least there’s no transparent pool though
