Governor DeSantis BLASTS Kristi Noem for bungling mass deportations and turning it into a shit show for her own glory. DeSantis BLASTS Congressmen like Byron Donalds for making millions on the stock market. DeSantis BLASTS Alina Habba for getting a $10 million government contract and securing a presidential pardon for her boyfriend. “If the people in office don't display some civic virtue about public service as a sacrifice. It's not to use the public office for private gain. I declined the pension in Congress. I declined the health care. I didn't trade the stocks. And I believe in congressional term limits. I mean, imagine if you went to the American people and actually tried to get that done. That's not right or left. That's something that a lot of people realize.. These guys work for themselves. They should be working for you.”

Something shorter can stand higher than something taller. Height and elevation aren’t the same thing. Also, Mauna Loa, which, like Mauna Kea, is a seamount (technically a volcanic island), is taller than Mt. Everest as well.
It’s funny how most people still think that Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This infographic is misleading because aircraft cruising altitudes are measured from sea level, not from a mountain's underwater base. Since Mauna Kea only stands 13,803 feet above sea level, a plane flying at 30,000+ feet is in absolutely no danger of hitting it. usgs.gov/volcanoes/maun… faa.gov/sites/faa.gov/…

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

BREAKING: Trump on gas prices being high: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

🚨 BOOM! GOV. RON DESANTIS just MIC DROPPED New York: "We have 4 million more residents than New York State does, yet our budget's $117 billion, their budget's $268 BILLION dollars!" "We have the lowest per capita tax in the country, we've paid off just since I've been governor, 52% of our state's debt, and we have a smaller government today than the day I took office. See, it can be done!" 👏🏻

While, I absolutely adore our national parks, most western states have been pretty much been strangled economically by the federal government through what can only be described as land seizure. 80% of Nevada’s land is owned by the federal government.

Turning even part of Yosemite over to private development should set off alarms. National parks are public treasures, not real estate inventory.

This follows. When I take long road trips throughout the country, small town America is practically rotting. It’s not talked about nearly enough.
"You're living in a dying community." Former mayor of Massena NY, James Hidy, speaks up at a public meeting about whether the town should allow data centers to be built there. "You have no revenue coming in ... within the next 3 years, [town government] will have to start laying people off ..." "[Massena] has has crumbling infrastructure... we're losing people left and right in this community; look at the number of boarded-up houses, look at the number of businesses that are going out of business..." Mr. Hidy appears to be warm towards allowing data centers in Massena not because they're ideal, nor because they even tend to generate that much in revenue or jobs -- but basically because Massena is dying, and cannot afford to say no to any form of investment in the community. His comments about Massena's decline are hauntingly accurate. His speech is sobering and his remarks on Massena are irrefutable. This is what I am talking about. These places are dying. If they are to be resuscitated it's now or never, and judging by those heckling the former mayor as he offered his public comment -- the answer is likely to be "never."
