Reform = typical entitled unionism.
One rule for them and another for someone else when that person is no longer useful to them.
Selfish much.
Oh dear, the first wheel to fall off....
"It is incumbent on her to resign as a regional MSP, and allow her constituents to be represented by the next Reform candidate on that list."
Yeah?.. just like @GrahamSMSP did when he left the @ScotTories?

All the more reason to move to @IndyScotParty if you actually support independence first.

I'm old enough to remember when you banned a Scottish independence party from advertising.
Forgive me if I don't care.

This statement responds to the decision by @ScotNational
to refuse future advertising from the Independence for Scotland Party following so called “reader feedback" and to the conditional offer from The Herald to carry an advert only if it removes any reference to women. This raises serious concerns about censorship, political gatekeeping and the suppression of legitimate debate in Scotland’s media.
No, this isn’t just “strong feedback,” this is a line being crossed. What we’ve been sent isn’t a commercial decision, it’s a political one, a decision to shut the door on a lawful political party because it dares to say things that make the comfortable uncomfortable for the Editors. A paper that wraps itself in the language of independence and democracy has just shown exactly where it stands when a real alternative appears, not beside the people, but blocking them.
Let’s call it what it is, censorship, raw, blunt, unashamed and then comes the so called “alternative,” an offer with a condition that should outrage every single person reading it,
we can have NO reference to women.
Take a second and let that sink in.
A political party in Scotland is being told it can access a front page but only if it stays silent about women, silent about rights, silent about safeguarding, silent about reality and silent on one of its founding principles.
So here’s the question that needs to be answered by these so called newspapers.
When are they going to tell their women readers that their sex is not relevant to their pages?
Because that is exactly what this decision says,
It says women don’t matter, at least not if acknowledging them disrupts a preferred narrative of the queer agenda, it says some truths are inconvenient to the trans allies and therefore must be buried, it says free speech is conditional and only exists for those who toe the TRA line.
Well here’s the problem with that, the Independence for Scotland Party does not exist to toe anyone’s line, it does not exist to ask permission, it does not exist to dilute its principles and it sure as hell does not exist to be told what it can and cannot say by editors, advertisers or anyone else who thinks they get to control the boundaries of public debate.
ISP will not be silenced, not by newspapers, not by gatekeepers, not by anyone.
If you think shutting us out of a front page stops this message you’ve fundamentally misunderstood what’s happening across this country. This isn’t about ink on paper anymore, This is about people, it is about lived experience, it is about voices that have been ignored for far too long finally refusing to be quiet and here’s the truth that should worry them most, every door you close, we’ll kick open another, every platform you deny, we’ll build our own, every attempt to silence us only proves why we must speak louder, because a movement grounded in reality cannot be erased by editorial decisions, so keep your front pages, stick your conditions where the sun don't shine, the ISP will not be controlled by arms of the British state.
The people are watching, the people are listening and no matter how hard you try
you will not silence us.

“Is the Smithe Scottish Government Hiding Something?
The Scottish government appears quite coy about its own assessment of its £1.5 billion recurring public sector savings (cuts) programme (£3.088bn cumulative cuts), claiming that keeping it secret from the public is ‘in the public interest’!
The Portfolio Efficiency and Reform Plans (PERPS) programme has Health and Social Care accounting for more than 70% of the projected cuts - £2.2bn cumulative savings over the 3 years of the spending review. Local government is expected to endure a £271 million cumulative reduction; Justice and Home Affairs £163 million cumulative; and Education £93.1 million cumulative.
The Scottish government said unconvincingly that Freedom of Information permits exemptions to disclosure if it would harm the effective conduct of public affairs and where the public interest is served by protecting uninhibited discussion of policy development within government.
In other words, they don’t want scrutiny of government decisions or priorities or we might object too vociferously. Or it will be too late to object.”

Well done ladies 👏
Post from @Fionanel your @IndyScotParty candidate and n the Argyll & Bute by election on @Favebookstore
Yesterday we had really heavy showers and sideways rain!
@IspJulie and myself delivered leaflets around Inveraray. Popped in to Inveraray Woollen Mill for coffee and cake. This being my home town we saw quite a few folk who i knew and stopped and had a chat! We even had to take shelter during a particularly heavy downpour at Inveraray Jail, they did let us out again!! Many thanks to Julie for her support yesterday, today I head out to Kilmichael, Kilmartin and along the A816 to drop a few more leaflets round the doors, the weather is not looking terribly great according to Windy Wilson Weather and Road Reports

The A83 – £16 million on design, and Argyll is still waiting.
Over £16 million had been spent on design and assessment at the Rest and Be Thankful by 2024. Now we’re told to expect a single-lane convoy on the Old Military Road for at least four years, while the wider plans are priced at £510 million.
If this were happening on the central belt, it would have been sorted years ago. Instead Argyll and the islands are left cut off, and local businesses, tradespeople, deliveries and families pay the price.
The council doesn’t run the A83, but it can press Transport Scotland and the Scottish Government hard, and keep us informed. I’ll do that, and I’ll push for decisions about Mid Argyll to be made openly, with local people listened to.
📌 Not registered yet? Today (Tuesday 13 October) is the deadline, midnight. Postal vote applications are open until 5pm tomorrow (Wednesday 14th).
🗳️ You rank your candidates 1, 2, 3. Every preference counts.
What has the A83 meant for you or your business? Tell me in the comments, or on my survey: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…

Well it was a bit of a wet dat yesterday for @Fionanel but it didn't deter the team! They delivered leaflets round all of Lochgilphead
Thanks to Tony and John Forbes @SovereignJock for their absolute dedication in getting the job finished, total stars. Between all the heavy showers they did manage to chat to a few folk, and it was nice that Fiona was recognised in Cafe 35 for her time managing Mid Argyll Swimming Pool. They filled up with coffee and rolls, delish! I also managed a quick look round Lochgilphead Farmers' & Country Market and treated myself to some lovely local lamb. Rhey managed another quick coffee at Green.Cup.CoffeShop before tackling the last wee bit of Lochgilphead. Job well done team ISP - Independence for Scotland Party

“ RCN ‘Captured’ by Gender Ideology
….. but can’t actually define it. RCN officer Gillian Tait told the tribunal her own beliefs were that the Supreme Court ruling was correct, but continued to claim that the union is inclusive and that she was ‘not aware that the RCN had signed up to gender ideology’. But Peggie had asked for public backing for her case from the RCN, which was not given.
The tribunal heard from the Executive Director of RCN England, Patricia Marquis, who rejected claims that the RCN took sides with trans ideology. But Peggie’s lawyer, Naomi Cunningham, challenged this by showing that the RCN is producing and providing to members progress pride branded merchandise. Marquis still denied that was taking sides, but Cunningham pointed out that there are no badges in suffragette colours, and no merchandise for Christian or Muslim nurses, atheists, or sex-realist (gender critical) staff, pointing to a statement where the RCN stated that it ‘…stands in support with our LGBTQIA+ members’.
Challenged on the ‘+’, Marquis defended it, saying vaguely that there were many other groups, but when Cunningham later implied that the ‘+’ could include ‘furries’ (a fetish) and men who identify as babies, and other things, Marquis retreated and was forced to agree with Cunningham that it was ‘a bit worrying’ to support a group whose parameters you can’t really define!”

I wonder if independence is the answer?
So we could make our own choices without needing England's permission.
Sound's like a policy that @The_SSP_ , @IndyScotParty and other independent, independence supporters have.
Maybe you should also make independence an SNP policy.

Local Election 29th October, Mid Argyll, ward 3
A post from @facebook by @Fionanel your @IndyScotParty candidate

Do you know? How your vote actually works on 29th October
This isn't like a UK General Election. In Scottish council elections, you don't just vote for one person - you number your ballot in order of preference: 1, 2, 3, and so on, for as many candidates as you like.
If your first choice doesn't win, your vote doesn't disappear - it transfers to your next preference. So there's no such thing as a "wasted vote" here.
Here's my honest ask: I might not be everyone's first choice, and that's okay. But if you know me, know my work ethic, or just think I'd do a fair job for Mid Argyll even if I'm not your party of choice - please consider me for your 2nd preference.
Number all the way down the ballot if you want to - right to the bottom, 'til you're scunnered numbering! Every preference matters, and it all helps make sure Mid Argyll ends up with a councillor who'll actually listen.

As the Crown in Scotland is the people, the Crown Estate belongs to the people. If ministers are misusing this wealth in any way, we can and should remove the government by invoking the Claim of Right Act 1689. It's not as if this hasn't been done before...
“
Where did the ScotWind money go?
Audit Scotland are asking where the £755 million paid to Crown Estate Scotland for the right to build and operate offshore wind farms on the Scottish coastal seabed has been or is being used. They said it is not clear whether the £96 million already taken by ministers from the fund (plus £12 million accrued interest) has been spent to support the transition to Net Zero or just to support the budget in general, but an amount of £5 million was spent on buying land at the Port of Nigg.
The bulk of the money remains in a type of ‘Instant Access’ account with Crown Estate Scotland, from which the government can draw down money to balance budget shortfalls, but Audit Scotland is scathing about the level of returns on this type of investment”
