Scientists found a way to flush Alzheimer’s plaque out of the brain in minutes. Without any surgery and drugs. Your brain has a waste-clearance network called the glymphatic system. It flushes out toxic proteins and dead cells. But it only really activates during deep, slow-wave sleep. If you don't sleep, the trash piles up. Over time, that buildup leads to cognitive decline and Alzheimer's. Until today. Researchers just published a paper proving they can manually trigger this cleaning cycle. Without you ever going to sleep. They used 40.68 MHz ultrashort waves (USW) beamed non-invasively into the brain. Within 10 minutes, the brain's fluid flow rapidly accelerated. The waves artificially synchronized the neurons into a Delta state, the exact frequency of deep sleep. This forced the brain's water channels to open and start flushing out the system. They tested it on mice with traumatic brain injuries and Alzheimer's pathology. The brain swelling dropped. The toxic proteins were cleared out. Cognitive deficits actually improved. No surgery. No massive chemical interventions. Just a frequency.

17-year-old USMNT and Philadelphia Union attacking midfielder Cavan Sullivan’s planned move to Manchester City is reportedly now considered a “DONE DEAL,” with his arrival scheduled for January 2028 🇺🇸👀 Sullivan remains committed to City Football Group despite interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid. CFG has also discussed backup plans with his representatives if City’s financial case complicates the move — including a potential loan to another CFG club or a suitable team elsewhere to keep his development on track. Two days ago, Australian MP Helen Haines was deliberately run over twice by a pro-Palestine activist outside her office. Today, both her legs were amputated. Despite her speaking out about Gaza, he still didn’t consider it enough, so he tried to murder her. This is the Palestinian cult at its core, a terrorist movement.

Scientists have discovered that COVID-19 can directly infect key brain cells responsible for dopamine production, driving them into an aged, 'zombie-like' state. Researchers have uncovered a striking biological mechanism explaining why many individuals experience persistent brain fog, chronic fatigue, and loss of motivation following a COVID-19 infection. Studies demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2 can directly target midbrain dopamine neurons—the specialized cells responsible for regulating movement, focus, and reward pathways. Upon infection, these neurons stop functioning normally and enter a state known as cellular senescence. Rather than dying, the infected dopamine cells become non-functional 'zombie' cells, halting dopamine production while actively secreting chemical signals that trigger ongoing localized inflammation. This unexpected transformation mirrors biological pathways commonly seen in age-related neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson's disease. By proving that dopamine neurons are uniquely susceptible to the virus, the findings provide a tangible target for medical interventions. Encouragingly, laboratory screens revealed that certain FDA-approved medications can prevent infection and rescue these damaged cells, opening promising new avenues for treating lingering neurological symptoms in long COVID patients. source: Yang, L., Kim, T. A groundbreaking treatment pairing auditory tones with mild electrical shocks rewires the brain to quiet chronic tinnitus. Chronic tinnitus, the agonizing perception of ringing in the ears without an external sound source, affects millions worldwide and has long eluded effective medical intervention. However, innovative research in neuroscience shows that bimodal neuromodulation—a technique combining audio tones with gentle electrical stimulation delivered directly to the tongue—can effectively quiet these phantom sounds. By stimulating touch receptors on the tongue while simultaneously playing targeted acoustic signals through headphones, the treatment leverages the brain's natural neuroplasticity. This dual-sensory approach encourages the central nervous system to reframe its sensory processing, essentially retraining the brain to ignore hyperactive auditory signals. In a landmark clinical study involving over 300 adults suffering from chronic subjective tinnitus, more than 86% of compliant participants experienced a significant reduction in symptom severity following 12 weeks of daily treatment. Remarkably, these therapeutic benefits persisted for up to 12 months post-treatment, representing a major leap forward in long-term tinnitus care. Described by patients as feeling like a mild fizzing sensation on the tongue, this non-invasive therapy offers a promising and safe alternative to traditional management strategies, bringing renewed hope to millions seeking lasting relief. source: Conlon, B., Langguth, B., Hamilton, C., Hughes, S., Meade, E., Connor, C. I spend a lot of time, perhaps too much, thinking about the lost architecture of Britain. Crystal Palace was the most tremendous loss of the modern era, yet it's rare to see any pictures of it. When built in 1851, it was the largest building in the world and three times the size of St Paul's Cathedral. What's more, that immense ironwork and 293,000 glass panels went up in just 190 days for the World's Fair. Almost 1 million square feet of glass. An extraordinary feat. It was razed in a fire in the 1930s and never rebuilt.
