Find time this week to read "Other Mother" by @colbay: audacity.substack.com/p/othe…
I imagine I will re-read this regularly, as it's a beautiful articulation of what love really looks like in ways that we don't talk about enough.
My essay “Other Mother” was published on @rgay’s The Audacity this morning. I’m so honored.
While the words come from a dark time and place, I’m grateful to be able to share them now from a distance. Deepest gratitude to Roxane, and @megpillow.

The AI app development journey:
1. Start with a prototype and manually test
2. Get tired of manually testing
3. Evaluations enlightenment: add evaluations to your code
???
4. App is in production. Users rave about your app
Braintrust makes it easy to evaluate your AI code.

We're hiring engineers :)
Do you love:
* building visualizations on text, images, and numbers that (re-)render in <100ms?
* searching/grouping billions of rows of semistructured text-heavy data in <200ms?
* grinding away LLM latency by any means necessary?
If so, LMK
A small move toward balancing the narrative, contextualizing the suffering of Israeli and Palestinian civilians, calling out the brutality of the right wing Israeli government, a colonist/oppressor regime. They need to be held accountable. – at Bronx, NY

What a blast to talk shop, art, life with @miekd! He recorded this with some impressive gear, in a popular NYC park, on a Sunday—with aplomb. Enjoy ❤️ – at San Francisco, CA

Lesson learned: anywhere in Washington Square Park in Manhattan is too close to the drummer to record a podcast.
Tuesday's episode with @colbay is still gonna be a banger though.

We’ve entered an era where design and research are going to be leading from the front.
We aren’t done yet “consumerizing” many software categories, and now *how gen AI will get used by the masses* presents the biggest design problem since mobile apps.
Great design will win.
Glad to see the @linear team’s continued success. They have taken a very disciplined and craftsmanship oriented approach to product development, and I hope their focus inspires others to create similarly great experiences.
We need more designer founders!!!
Came cross this video of us when we were still a relatively small team at Twitter (when it was still Twitter). The picture of innocence

The best description of the situation is also the link to do something about it, which is to sign a petition:
