Behind Costa Rica's "pura vida" slogan lies exploitation. Our new report exposes the harsh conditions Indigenous Ngäbe-Buglé workers face harvesting coffee: poverty wages, child labour, unsafe housing, and preventable deaths. The $450B coffee industry must change via #FPIC #IndigenousRights.

Groundbreaking report from @reporterb shedding light on the coffee industry's responsibility for illegal deforestation in Brazil.

A major Brazilian coffee farm had its Rainforest Alliance certification suspended after its owners were convicted of subjecting workers to conditions analogous to slavery! Despite this, the farm passed RA audits in both 2025 and 2026.
We’re proud to join workers to #BoycottStarbucks until baristas win a fair union contract. We’re fed up with unchecked corporate greed and wealthy executives ignoring their workers.
Let’s show Starbucks that working people stand together ➡️ BoycottStarbucks.net

Child labor is common, and conditions are dire, in Costa Rica’s coffee sector. 🚨☕ This is not parents’ failure. It reflects government and industry failures to protect Ngäbe-Buglé children and provide safe childcare. Read: coffeewatch.org/behind-costa…

The coffee industry is moving in the right direction toward #regenag coffee ! ☕️🌱 @DailyCoffeeNews reports on a new program from @IDH: dailycoffeenews.com/2026/08/…
This news is amazing! But, we need to scale to 3M farmers, not 300K. Coffee resilience is urgent!

The consequences of biodiversity loss reach far beyond wildlife. Healthy ecosystems support healthier farms by protecting soil, regulating pests, and stabilizing water systems. Learn more: coffeewatch.org/vietnams-rob…
Climate change is threatening Vietnam's coffee future. ☕
Rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, and decades of intensive farming are reducing yields and hurting smallholder farmers. Scientists warn suitable coffee-growing land could be cut in half globally by 2050.

Vietnam’s coffee industry depends on water, but groundwater depletion, deforestation, and climate change are pushing the system to its limits. Protecting forests and water resources is key to a resilient, traceable coffee sector. ☕💧

Replying to @Starbucks
@Starbucks ' sustainability strategy in 2020: “We’ll cut emissions in half by 2030.”
@Starbucks' sustainability strategy in 2025: Lol nvm.
Translation: We missed our climate target so badly we’re quietly lowering the bar and hoping you’re distracted by s'mores frappuccino.
@Starbucks' new impact report shows total emissions are UP despite promises to cut them in half:
– Scope 1 & 2 ↓ 17%
– Scope 3 ↑ 8%
– Scope 3 = 96% of total emissions
– Total emissions ↑ 7% since 2019
Now they’re “actively reassessing” their climate goal.
Greenwashing at its finest.
Wipe 4% of your footprint, let the other 96% burn, call it progress.
This isn’t sustainability.
It’s corporate coffee(green)washing.
It's garbage.
SHAME ON YOU, @Starbucks .
