Anoma is one of the projects I genuinely like talking about.
I'm big on technical stuff (being an economist and all),
So I'm going to breakdown their fractal shading method which you may not understand at first glance.
Imagine this;
You & your friends play Ludo,
Or at least want to play, but there is only one board
There's a massive queue because of this, and everyone is angry.
What do you do? You bring out more boards, so every other group including yours plays peacefully with no jams.
But here's the key:
All the boards are connected. If someone finishes their game, they can still interact with players on other boards.
That in essence is what Fractal scaling in @anoma means.
Each "board" is like it's own blockchain space, but still connected to the same compound, they talk to each other, settle together and are interconnected.
So in blockchain terms, even though each board (or mini chain) is doing it's own thing,
They can share information and complete transactions with one another, simply put;
- You can swap among chains instantly
- You can send money or assets from one chain to another.
- Apps on different chains can co-operate without needing a central bridge.
So instead of cramming everyone to one board, Anoma gives everyone room to play, while still staying connected.
That is their scaling method.
