Announcing 3 Critical vulns for hundreds of millions of IoT, Firewalls, OT, and Military devices including: Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin, Boeing...
The vulns are with GoAhead Web Server which is a backend library used by these devices. There's a patch available from GoAhead but that doesn't mean there's a patch available for the devices yet -- that's up to the manufacturer.
- TLS traffic over DHE ciphers have a 1-byte secret, "04", meaning anyone can decrypt connections to these devices and steal login credentials and session tokens if the client negotiated with DHE ciphers like the latest TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256, which is extremely likely.
- LibreSSL mTLS has been completely bypassed, meaning anyone can connect over mTLS. If you have one of these devices listening on the internet and are expecting mTLS to protect it from attackers, take it offline or patch asap.
- OpenSSL Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are not enforced, meaning if a user device is stolen or compromised, and you revoke that mTLS cert, nothing actually happens. There are a lot of other attacks this can be used for.
These are critical because these types of devices run our world. Water systems, electricity, military, firewalls, critical infrastructure.

Yeah this is weird, weird, weird. There was no star! I previously dismissed the Mandela effects for various reasons. But how do you explain this one? I went looking in obscure locations for the flag and they all now have a star.

Congrats to @killa who solved stealmybitcoin.com hours ago but I screwed up which key went on the server (the flag was a root wallet WIF instead of the branch WIF).
Check out their awesome writeup here: github.com/KillaBoi/StealMyB…

You either want @jaredkushner arrested for treason.
Or you support a foreign spy actively compromising the White House and selling that access to foreign nations and doing lord knows what else.
There’s no more in between on that one.

It seems like it should be a bigger deal that Jared Kushner reportedly had a secret Dubai bank account with hundreds of millions from Azerbaijan, and allegedly used it to pay a warlord, a mercenary, and a former hit man. We only know because Russia hacked his phone. There is no end to the corruption and depravity of these people.
Everyone is freaking out at AI over the recent vulnerabilities in .. everything. Yes, shocking. But AI isn’t the problem here. Humans wrote the vulnerable code, AI is just finding the bugs. And many of these bugs have existed for a LONG time. This is “The Great Hardening”.

So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.
HR being so detached from value creation is a problem, across the board. It’s not their fault, it is the nature of the function. IMO HR can help coordinate but they should not lead recruiting or compensation concerns.

Never forget: the words "raped me" and "murdered my newborn child" are in the files beside his name.
Why the fuck wasn’t that enough?!
This may be hard to believe @JDVance, but many U.S. citizens want to see pedophiles in the Epstein files held accountable.

A Washington Post Journalist was attacked by so-called “Hilltop Youth” terrorists in the occupied West Bank and the alleged ambassador Mike Huckabee hasn’t said *anything.* Who is he working for exactly?
Israeli settlers beat Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine. She said attackers picked her up, then threw her down again and kept kicking.
They operate with impunity. We need to cut off aid to Israel that is used to fund settler activity, and stop the sales of these weapons.
Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks.
Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. wapo.st/4yt6dHY

The consistent advice is, "don't hire big tech execs"
The fundamental problem is that they've been RL'ed by an environment in which success is measured by headcount. They will make your company bloated and ineffective because in their experience, that's what success looks like
