Why haven't there been any audio devices like the old iPods in the current generation, sony/HiBy dap are damn costly.. seen one video with sandisk one but can't seem to find it in India :(
setting up to use Kotlin on @code is very messy
@intellijidea is very efficient, having their language-locked IDE

In the current tech job market, for average pay, the competition is pathetic.
Yesterday I was with a friend who was shortlisting applicants for a React.js internship at his startup (₹20-25k, wfh, part-time).
At least 80% applicants had no live project and public source code.
Their github activity was either blank or had useless commits just for showing consistency.
One guy had 30 Readme update commits in Nov 😂
Many of them had broken links in resume.
Most of them had no posts or anything positive on their LinkedIn.
My friend was willing to hire candidates without experience because he isn't paying much, but still those who applied were simply unemployable.
I think the main competition that exists in the low to mid pay range is the "crowd".
Hundreds or thousands of applicants on almost every such job.
It increases the possibility of the HR not going through the resumes properly.
This is why I suggest people to put more human element in their job hunt.
Do it the old fashioned way.
Talk to people.
Approach them with your proposals.
What is the worst they can do?
When you directly contact the startups and can get past this barrier of resume shortlisting, you'll get hired easily if you're good enough to do what they need.
In the worst case, they'll ignore or reject you. But it's still better than mindlessly applying through job portals.
Day 3 of #AdventOfCode
Crazy to see these leaderboard times.. like people actually code it in those 1-2 minutes or just chatgpt all the way 🧐
had to revisit the good old regex for this one :P
🎄❄️🎄❄️🎄
So it's time (in a day it begins..)
Last year I heard about the advent of code and just solved 1 of the problems on a random day 😂
This time, ig I'll be serious about solving them all the way
Creating a private leaderboard for any of you folks to tag along!
Code: 3530986-a5cbbde3
For those who don't know what the advent of code is about - it's a countdown to Christmas and each day till the 25th, has a problem to be solved.
You don't have to submit the code, just the result of the input given..
For the silver star - 1st part of the problem
For the gold star ⭐ - follow up of the easy one
So any jugaad(cheap tricks to get the answer, without coding.. like I heard some people in the office solved one of the problems last year in excel) also works (ig)!
Main thing is to learn - either a new language, or some new approaches to tackle problems, or enjoy for the sake of it
1. Login with any of the given things on the site (adventofcode dot com)
2. Join the leaderboard with the above code (if space is still there, or create an internal one amongst your friends)
3. Solve daily problem and learn 🤠
The problem comes at midnight EST (UTC-5) 10:30am IST
Shoutout to @ericwastl and their team for putting all these efforts 🫡🫡🫡
hopefully I'll be consistent, still thinking in which language to do it- java, kotlin, cpp.. what about you guys?
Ps: private leaderboards only support upto 200 members
