I don't much like the "For You" tab on Twitter. If it was actually for me, I would've chosen it on my own by following those people.

This happened a month ago, I have a 4 way NBA parlay. 1st 3 come in. 4th is Blazers vs Hawks on West Coast. 4th qtr & I am barely covering. So with about 5 minutes to go I say fuck it and do a live game bet on the other side to lock in a profit of 6.5 to 1 instead of 13 to 1.

After doing that I realize I could cover on both if Blazers win by 3,4 or 5. Blazers win by 4. Got me thinking how much did I give up by hedging? All the “experts” say don’t hedge. I was certainly not a big favorite to cover on Blazers with 5 minutes to go.

So I figured about 60% of the time I’d win the parlay. Looking at one website landing on 3,4 or 5 is little under 20% BEFORE the game starts. With 5 minutes to go it had to be way higher 20% with Blazers winning by 6. Definitely gave me a lot to think about with the live betting

Was hoping Cavs line would be -4 -110 at worst. Going off at -6.5 -110 even with 3 game losing streak in season and also to Raptors is about what I had it at. So no bet on Cavs unless line moves. Thinking of betting under 216 -110. NBA scoring down somewhat recently seemingly.

Julius Randle did me in tonight. He is really, really good. He’s a big guy that is fundamentally very sound, has a nice touch, has finesse and power moves in his game. Plays good ‘D’ so yeah he did me in on my parlay but still what a player he is.

Friendly reminder: In basketball, NBA and college, there really is no such thing as a “late call”… Officials are taught to save the foul if they can. So if a player is fouled, the ref may wait an extra second to see if the shot drops. If it doesn’t, foul called “late”…

That’s their problem. if he is making shots when no one is defending him, it’s great cuz it’s rendered the defense’s gameplan in regards to him useless. If he starts to garner attention & draws defenders to him, it improves spacing & allows for less double teams on the backcourt.
