If you are a company, adopting and adhering to standards from an Integrated Management System for Security such as #ISO27001 can take into account a lot of the previous points, and ensure practices are being adhered to company-wide.

Back up your important data regularly to an external drive or a secure cloud storage service. In case of a #ransomware attack or data loss, having backups ensures you can recover your information without paying a ransom or losing critical data.

Be cautious online. Avoid clicking on suspicious links or downloading attachments from unknown sources. Verify the authenticity of websites, especially when entering personal information or making online transactions.

Use strong, unique passwords for each account. Incorporate a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Consider using a reputable password manager to generate and securely store complex passwords.

Keep your operating system, software, and apps up to date. Updates often contain patches for security vulnerabilities, so ensure automatic updates are enabled or regularly check for updates manually.

Enable #2factorauthetification wherever possible. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring not just a password but also a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorised access.
