UPDATE: It appears @tether has unfrozen THORChain addresses. Trading/etc will resume soon
It appears that USDT has chosen to blacklist THORChain vaults of USDT on the TRON blockchain. This is unprecedented in our industry and raises questions for all DeFi protocols about the safety of this asset.

Thorchain is fighting a good battle. They made a lot of mistakes along the way, but they are still here, stubbornly defending core crypto principles.

I'll never understand founders like Pacman. Incredible standing in the market with top protocols like Blur and then Blast, the best investors backing him, all the attention you could possibly ask for. And instead of building something huge and lasting out of all that, rather decided to max extract the shit out of it for a quick buck in the short term. Too many such cases, unfortunately. Which is exactly why we should appreciate the few brilliant, honest builders so much more. the ones who refuse to take the path of least resistance. If you find one, just go perpetually long.
Blast will be shutting down. We launched Blast with the goal of building a self-sustaining chain for users and developers. Unfortunately, the economics of operating the chain no longer make sense: the ongoing costs of maintaining Blast exceed the revenue generated by the L2, and we do not see a credible path to making the chain economically sustainable. As a result, we've made the difficult decision to wind Blast down. We're sorry to the users and developers who believed in Blast, built on it, and supported the ecosystem. Our priority now is making the shutdown as smooth and safe as possible. We're asking all users to withdraw their assets from Blast to Ethereum mainnet, including any balances held in the Blast PWA. To make this easier, we will be reducing the withdrawal delay to 24 hours. As part of the shutdown process, we'll first begin withdrawing Blast's Lido assets. This process is expected to take approximately one week. During this period, withdrawals will temporarily be unavailable, even after the withdrawal delay is reduced to 24 hours. Once that process is complete, withdrawals will resume with the new 24-hour delay. Users will have until October 26, 2026 to withdraw through the normal Blast interface. After October 26, assets will remain withdrawable, but users will need to interact directly with the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1. We'll publish detailed instructions before then. We strongly encourage everyone to withdraw their assets to Ethereum mainnet before October 26.

Another banger example, two days after Tayvano (scroll my page), of people working in crypto who have no idea, or have forgotten, the one and only purpose of this entire industry: Censorship resistance. This time it's NEAR, top to bottom: the founder publicly proud of intercepting transactions, and an ecosystem rep whose entire counterargument was calling me an NPC. The founder mistakes a freeze button for a feature, the staff mistakes name-calling for a defense, and the whole org runs on bullshit all the way down. To get what I mean, let's go back to the way-back. Ethereum's original homepage said "Build unstoppable applications." Apps that run "without any possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third-party interference." Censorship is named in the founding sentence, and "unstoppable" is carved over the front door of this entire industry. If you'll notice, it's the pitch, the promise, and the product in a single word. And back tf off the "you'd sing differently if you got hacked" reply, because: My project Swarm City held funds in the Parity multisig. The code was bad. We lost 42,000 ETH. Price that at today's market and appreciate the tuition I've paid to the church of immutability. Almost nobody on this app has eaten more hack fallout than me, and I'm still in the pews telling you censorship resistance is non-negotiable. Notice, too, that the freeze button doesn't even solve the problem it's sold on. Interception happens AFTER the money's gone, every time. You know what actually stops hackers? Platforms that don't get hacked. Harden your systems, Gracy! That's literally your job at Bitget! Can't understand why you still have one. In a sane world, you lose nearly $400M of customer money, you get fired. Now, NEAR wants a freeze button? Fine. Build your chain. But then the honest pitch goes something like: "Look, we're a bastardization of the crypto ethos, we know it, but hey, we're a solid 30% better than a bank." "Yes, we're embarrassed about it, but at least in this one instance we can do some good. Human liberty? Unfortunately that's not what we do, we'll have to leave that to better men than us. If it's important to you (we understand if it is), go find someone who actually gives a fuck." See what I mean? You have a freeze button? Sell it with some humility. What you don't get to do is intercept transactions and then get self-righteous about it, as though the freeze button were the crown jewel of the technology it LOUDLY betrays. This tech exists for one reason: human liberty. Every freeze button, however righteous its first use, waits for a less righteous hand, which is why everything short of censorship resistance is drift toward control. Not here for that? The banks are hiring.
If you CAN censor, you WILL censor. Today it's hacked funds, you think you're cool with that because theft is immoral. True! But tomorrow it's transactions to and from the truckers in Canada protesting totalitarian government overreach. At least you'll know how you got here. But you know what else stops hackers? Hardening your platforms so you don't get hacked in the first place. Bitget, it's your fault for getting hacked. Gracy the buck stops with you. Take some accountability.

Imagine making 25% per annum on bitcoin / ether, and not only is the spread extremely low (0.25%) but the range isn't even that tight (pretty much covers the entire range since Jan 2026, excluding short-lived outliers) only on @RujiraNetwork put your idle capital to work
Your BTC and ETH can earn up to 30% through market making. Automated Trading (CCL) lets you provide liquidity and earn variable yield from trading activity while the market price stays within your chosen range. This is how to get started with Automated Trading on Rujira 📺

You could be earning 15% RIGHT NOW on a $BTC/$USDC pair! 🤯 Checkout these two custom concentrated liquidity strategies (CCL) on @RujiraNetwork. Both are BTC/USDC. Both are the same age. So why does one earn 15% APR while the other only earns 6.5%? 👇 thorchain:native

For THORChain Node Operators. In this early phase, bonded RUNE is allocated across a managed whitelist of nodes. Over time, this is intended to become permissionless. If you are interested in becoming whitelisted, or would like more information, please reach out to a member of the Rujira team.

After many months, I've been playing with the Thorchain ecosystem again, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much the overall quality of protocols and tools has improved. Rujira works like a charm, offering seamless cross-chain trading, which can be scary and confusing due to its complexity, but Rujira nailed it. But there are other really neat tools like RuneBond, BooneTools, Moca App for swapping, tracking, and managing Nodes, Bonds, LPs, etc. This was always a problem with Thorchain; the general UI was frankly horrible and stress-inducing, but the improvement is now clearly noticeable. It feels ready for mainstream adoption. $RUNE $RUJI
With this, all the pieces are in place. Upgradeable liquidity model for @THORChain's LP, including high assets like bitcoin:native that have been locked for 12+ months. Concentrated Custom Liquidity today. Dynamic Custom Liquidity tomorrow. All of it in order to capture arbitrage profits for $RUNE and $RUJI bonders, and minimise price dislocation of base layer pools == winning more swaps Watershed moment xitter.cf/PragmaticMonkey/status…

The bRUNE cap has increased to 3 million! After our first increase from 50k to 2 million, the cap filled within 48 hours. Today, we are raising bRUNE to 3 million to keep up with growing demand while scaling in a controlled way. Here is how to get started with bRUNE 👇

This is what happens when a team with real vision executes. Rujira feels like Kujira, with the lessons learned and none of the baggage.
And we bring a little bit of that along with us again 👻
