Mine isn't back yet, I guess it's gradual
First GitHub star on neocursor today — and a great first issue to go with it.
The gist: inline diffs with color highlights, like avante, so you don't open a separate review pane.
I am so pleased.

there are two directions I'm considering for case studies: a dedicated section of their own, or a toggle on the work page that lets people switch between project posts and case studies. since case studies won't apply to every project, I think I'm leaning toward the dedicated section approach instead. I'm also still experimenting with hover behaviour for case studies, not quite sure with the font weight shifts, but I think I like the "emojis" burst on hover
⚡ Multiple sessions at once
:NeocursorNewPanel (or <M-n>) opens another panel — own session, mode, model, streaming job.
Debug in one panel, refactor in another. No waiting.
↩ Session resume
:NeocursorSessions lists every chat for your project. Pick one → transcript comes back, follow-ups continue via --resume.
Even sessions you started in plain cursor-agent show up (discovered from ~/.cursor/chats)
neocursor update: Cursor Agent inside Neovim, now with session memory.
↩ Resume any chat (:NeocursorSessions)
⚡ Run multiple agents in parallel (separate panels)
📝 Transcripts restored on resume
Powered by cursor-agent CLI.

avante and the others are solid, however, neocursor builds on cursor agent, it does not require an API key or local model, just cursor CLI already installed.

Exactly this, cursor-agent owns the brain; neocursor owns the editor surface
Early days. Repo is open 👇

What feature would you want to see?
Also shipped:
• model picker (`:NeocursorModel`)
• ask ⇄ agent toggle
• token usage readout
• `:checkhealth neocursor`
Integrated with vimify (Another project of mine) so you can install it via:
vimify run "LazyVim with neocursor"
Agent mode can edit files. I didn't want blind trust.
So every edit is:
⏳ pending
→ inline unified diff in the chat
→ `:NeocursorReview` for side-by-side
→ accept (keep) or reject (restore file)
`a` / `r` in the review tab
Under the hood:
cursor-agent -p --output-format stream-json --stream-partial-output
The plugin parses NDJSON events:
• assistant deltas
• tool_call completions with diffString
• result + session_id for resume
Sounds simple until consolidated messages duplicate your text 😅
The UX I wanted:
• chat panel on the side (like Cursor)
• ask about the file, line, or visual selection
• stream tokens as they arrive
• follow-up questions keep the same session
`:Neocursor` → type → `<C-s>` → watch it stream in
I'm building neocursor in public — Cursor-style agent chat, but inside Neovim.
Not a fork of Cursor. A Neovim plugin that talks to cursor-agent headless and streams answers into a sidebar.
Here's what I shipped so far 🧵
