The Revolut CEO looks like he urgently needs a vacation. Maybe working 7 days a week isn't good for our health, and it's not worth sacrificing your wellbeing just to stay competitive.
Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky: “The US is not that competitive. Europe is even less competitive.” “China is competitive.” “China is 9/9/6. Even if you are good in Europe, or in the US, how can you out-compete the people who work 9:00 to 9:00, six days a week?” “I started in a co-working space with 140 companies. Within 5 years, only 3 companies survived. They all worked on the weekends.” “Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140.” “Working weekends is a must if you want to survive. Purely statistically.”

I see so much cool photography in my feed. Does this mean photographers can no longer find a place to share their beautiful work? Instagram used to be the place, until it ditched them in favour of TikTok-style Reels. @instagram literally swapped quality for slop.

Vodafone's latest marketing strategy, ladies and gentlemen.
Carteles hechos con ChatGPT e impresos en cuatro folios A4. La identidad de marca de @vodafone_es en máximos históricos, casi a la altura de cuando patrocinaban a Ferrari durante los años de Schumacher.

The absurdity of life today: recruiters in Spain asking about your salary expectations, knowing full well they can only pay €18k–€20k, while you can't afford to settle for less than €25k in this economy.

I remember my boss was dreaming about automation. He wasn't particularly into IT, but he dreamed of a program that would do everything automatically. He had no idea how to make it happen. But he had a dream.

Barclays cutting 5,000 jobs because of AI is just another round of business optimization. Banks have been cutting jobs as technology reduces their workforce needs. First, they ditched paper and moved to digital services. Now AI allows them to slash costs and boost profits.

I think @figma is dead too.
We’ve officially reached the point where it’s easier & takes less time to deliver a fully coded app to a client than it does to design it by hand in Figma.

Retailers complain that people no longer shop in physical stores. So I tried doing things the old-fashioned way this week. In most stores, I was told to go to their website and buy online. And they wonder why retail is dying.

I can't explain why big companies use AI images for their branding. I get why a struggling small business might use AI to generate a few images, but big corporations going down this road? That's a new level of low. 1/3 👇

You have the money to do things properly, yet you choose the cheap way out. It feels like you don't care about the result or respect your customers. 2/3 👇

And that's the real problem. These companies assume people will buy whatever product they throw at them just because they've spent years building a well-known brand. The decline starts with small things.

It's only a matter of time before this bubble bursts
JUST IN: Anthropic recorded a staggering $80,000,000,000.00 net loss in the first half of 2026.

A hypothetical question: @Revolut operates almost entirely digitally, right? So, if it went under, how would it pay its customers back?

Why has monetizing air become so normalized? Tourist taxes, fees to access beaches, fishing licenses. The list goes on. What happened to actually building a business, creating a good product or offering a great service and earning money because you did something worthwhile? 👇

Now it's all about monetizing ideas, tips and strategies. Selling a puff of air and charging people for something that should be free in the first place.
