It is super cool to know that a fellow believer in Christ, created SQLite, the most underrated database technology that is running on mobile devices and more. This documentary by @LewisMenelaws on SQLite was pretty sweet. youtu.be/lSVgeMoXJTs

We need more purpose-driven actions that lead to fulfillment and contentment in the promises that come from God. “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” - Matthew 10:39
I just repurposed my iPhone Action Button to open up the Word of God. Talk about taking life giving and fulfilling action by receiving the daily bread that God gives us each morning according to His mercies. I made a Shortcut to open up my new favorite Bible app @Literal_Word and the set my Action Button to it.

“but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,” - 1 Peter 3:15 ESV

God’s timing is perfect in all things. I haven’t recorded and launched a new episode in a long time. Not because I got burned out but because it was a season where God wanted me to put my focus on other things. He was and still is breaking down areas in my life that need restoration, building up of, and completely pruned away. This podcast and the community itself has been a blessing to so many behind the scenes. Even if we didn’t have a new episode, it didn’t mean God was not working in the lives of brothers and sisters in Christ that are apart of the community on Discord. We have had round tables that have changed lives, we have prayed for each other in powerful ways (as a community or in a private voice chat) and seen God’s hand move, I have been connected with missionaries to help teach them how to build a WordPress site, etc. There are a lot of things that we cannot measure or even see, when God is at work. He is never-ending and does not grow weary like us humans. He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscience. The codeFellowship podcast is coming back soon and I am thinking of bringing it to X. Be sure to Follow for upcoming developments and Subscribe to the channel to be notified when a new episode goes live - youtube.com/@codefellowship #DevsForChrist #FaithTech #Podcast

The LORD our God is producing some podcast episodes in the background. Can't wait to get home and record what God has placed in my heart in this season. #DevsForChrist
Unemployed Chronicles #13: I have not posted an Unemployed Chronicles in a while. Felt good to be honest. I love to share what is on my heart and mind, encourage others, and see others be encouraged by the Word of God through these posts. But there was a point where it seem like I was putting too much effort in this than any other time I have done it. When I could be putting much more effort into my business and caring for my family. Also, there hasn't been much advancement with my applications, just denials left and right. A few weeks ago, one morning when I was praying on my way to trucking school, I poured out my heart to the LORD. During my prayer to the LORD, He revealed to me the condition of my heart, what part I need to work on with Him while He breaks me down and builds me back up. It came back to the Fruits of the Spirit, which are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. The Sunday prior to this morning prayer, the sermon at church touch upon the Fruits of the Spirit and how if we lack any of them to seek them and ask for God to pour more of Him in you. Desire not only the Gifts of the Spirit but the Fruits as well. The Fruits are the outward expressions of God's character on display through our lives as believers. Which Fruit do I lack in? It is Gentleness. At times I can be harsh with my words even if they are words with good intentions and full of love, but not everyone can handle the kind of love a New Yorker expresses, so I have to be more lowly and humble in my gentleness. As I started to work on this with God and giving Him every flaw I can think of. My soul feels His everlasting peace. Every denial or ghosted response I receive, its just another confirmation that God is leading the charge in this fight. Christ is a conqueror of hearts. His purpose in my life is greater than the one I have planned before me. While God is molding me into the likeness of the Son, Christ Jesus; He is also providing for my family and I. Just recently, people have been reaching out for potential work to be done for their business, SaaS, or Startup ideas. Either organic search, conversations with my network, or word of mouth referral. I am planning on recording a podcast episode or a series of episodes for codeFellowship( ) regarding this Spiritual Journey and Transformation that God is taking me through. As developers, we think it is the end or a long dreadful desert when we get laid off, but there is something much more to it than just a layoff. If we are followers of Christ, it is much more. It is a brewing testimony, a realtime witnessing of the power, grace, and mercy of God. "3 So I went down to the potter's house, and there he was working at his wheel. 4 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do." - Jeremiah 18:3-4. I am looking to start Season 3 of the podcast soon. I am envision a panel of a couple of Christian Devs who have built with AI, implemented AI-powered features, and just casually drinking the AI juice. I want the primary focus of this episode to be about the state of AI technology from a Christian perspective and the good that Christians can contribute to the world using AI-technology. I have some candidates in mind of reaching out to for this Season 3 Opener like @rasmic, @webdevcody, @CameronPak, and others. If you know of any other Bible-believing Christian that would be a good fit for this, drop down in the comments. #DevsForChrist

I just found out that the podcast channel can enable Auto-dubbing to other languages on @YouTube. This is exciting for the podcast and the work we are producing for the kingdom of God. I know we have international viewers and this will God-willing facilitate a better experience for them when listening or watching the show. #DevsForChrist

In the last 2 weeks, Turso had more than 300 commits. That's a breakneck speed of 20 a day. For a database! And that's not just playing catch up either: we landed incredible optimizations and new features like CDC, that SQLite lacks.

I was just catching up to notifications and saw a new follower by the name @praison who is building christianpicks.com/ and within the Products page, I noticed we are on there among some heavy hitters like Through the Word. I am humbled and give glory to God for this calling. #DevsForChrist

Such a beautiful testimony of how God gives another chance at life through the use of faithful servants.
We at @tursodatabase have just done something unheard of in the startup world: we hired a person in prison. Not an ex-con: he is actually serving time right now. If you follow us you may remember when we announced our full rewrite of SQLite in Rust, Project Limbo. It got a tremendous amount of attention, but by far, my favorite story was that of @PThorpe92: Preston is currently incarcerated for things he regret doing a decade ago. A model reformed inmate, Preston was given the beautiful opportunity by the Maine Department of Corrections to access the internet. He then found our project, and since it's not like there are many entertainment options competing for his attention in prison, he decided to pour his heart and soul into helping us rewrite SQLite. I immediately fell in love with his story. Reading his old blogs, his Github profile. I prayed we would be able to hire him as soon as he was out, and make him a part of our team. But thankfully, things have happened in such way, that we were able to do it *even before* he was released. He's now given an opportunity to make a dent in the world, from prison. Preston claims he is immensely thankful for this opportunity. It is certainly not an opportunity that comes often, and I understand him. But when I read his story in his personal blog, where he mentioned how he clearly saw his life going downhill, had this sudden epiphany, saw clearly that he could do differently, and then started being showered with blessings, I saw the unmistakable markings of how our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, operates in the world. I was an obnoxious Richard Dawkins-style atheist for more than two decades. I am not an experiential person, and I came to a change through the rational evaluation of the historical context of His resurrection. I am not the kind of person that feels the hand of God in my life, but over the years I learned to recognize his patchwork through those sudden, unexpected changes, where everything suddenly "just works". And because of that, I am the one who's thankful. The Lord decided to operate such a drastic change in Preston's life. Clearly He has a great plan for him. I am immensely thankful for the opportunity to play a small part in that story. God, in his infinite power, doesn't need me to do any of that, and yet he gave me the opportunity to act. I feel thankful and blessed. I am also very thankful to @LabsUnlocked , and entity helping people like Preston find a better life once they're out. If you feel inspired by their mission, you should reach out and help. And if you want to hear from Preston in his own words, read the article he just published on the Turso blog: turso.tech/blog/working-on-d…
