CONFIRMED: "Tommy"—the heckler who tried to gotcha El-Sayed at his Michigan town hall—is not some random guy. He is Thomas Teepell, Operations Director for Republican Senator Josh Hawley until February of this year.
This explains why his "gotcha" targeted the Muslim candidate.
The Handbasket first identified him via his X and Facebook profiles (Detroit) and LegiStorm, which confirms he ran Hawley’s Senate operations until February. Crooks and Liars, Newsy Today, and Lawyers Guns & Money have since confirmed it.
Tommy’s father is Timmy Teepell, a Republican strategist who worked for Bobby Jindal (2004–2011), ran his 2015 presidential campaign, and helped Josh Hawley win as Missouri Attorney General in 2016 and U.S. Senator in 2018.
Christian nationalist ties run deep. Timmy is described as the “most powerful ally” of Sean Feucht, who preaches Christian supremacy. Video shows Feucht praying over father and son. Tommy interviewed on-stage with Feucht at his D.C. headquarters in April 2024.
On October 2, the University of Michigan student paper revealed that America Next—a PAC founded by Bobby Jindal—offered College Republicans $200 to attend El-Sayed’s Flint town hall, boo him, and ask inflammatory questions for viral moments. Nothing happened in Flint; then Tommy appeared in Caro.
El-Sayed disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood on the spot, spent four minutes dismantling the question, and Tommy walked out.
The “gotcha” was on him.

Yknow, there is so damn much to be excited about for the upcoming nba season:
-a hugely talented rookie class, my gosh there are so many young phenoms to watch tear up the league!
-all the trades that changed the Eastern conference drastically, no longer the "Least-ern" conference!
-The West is super unpredictable after the Spurs and Thunder, i love that!
-Wemby's revenge? When i look at him play, he looks like he wants to run over teams....beware! Im also looking forward to how Castle and co rebound from the finals....
-Obviously, as a super biased Raptors fan, i cant wait to see Scottie take that next step and leave no doubt he is among the elite in the nba!
There is so much more. You dont have to agree w me 100%. But we can all agree, this is going to be one helluva an NBA SEASON!

My thoughts on the Raptors going into the start of the regular season:
1) Kawhi, Scottie and CMB will be great this yr, no need to elaborate
2)RJ's offence is def required, his 3 pt shot is coming along. He is hustling on D and will get better.
3) Martin, Bittle and Esp TJD should do well for the Raps.
4) TJD is an essential part of the bench. He needs mins Darko. He and Bittle will hopefully solve our bkup big woes. TJD aint perfect, but he offers a lot, and has a high upside, his ball IQ is high if youve heard him talk.
5) Poeltl is cooked.
6) IQ is a shooting guard, not a pg. Raps need a real PG that can create his own shot, has speed to get to the rim, and most importantly, can facilitate at a high level.
7) Shead needs a lot of help developing his offense, his shot, lessening dumb turnovers, and finishing at the rim and finishing floaters.
8) This one is obvious, take more quality 3s and make more of them, which seems to be the mantra this yr.
9) Raps' transition offence and fast break needs to get better at passing and finishing, its slower and clunky rn.
10) Scottie is a good passer, dont mind him spending a bit of time as point forward, but the real key is a free roaming Scottie, catching lobs, cutting, bodying guys down low. Thats a terrifying Scottie for opposing d's.
I hope Darko and the Raps can address the pg and C deficits.
This is an exciting squad, with Lofty expectations.

Jim Hiller says it was his decision not to play McKenna. Says he didn’t play for a while in the second period and looked to get him out there in the third but at that point he had sat so long so he didn’t want to put him out there even though he felt he should have.
