イスラムに関して私は詳しくはないけれど、親しいイスラム教徒の友人がいる。そのご縁で、今年は東京ジャーミーのモスクを見学させてもらった。その人とは別のムスリムと同じ職場で働いていたこともある。日本にいる多くのイスラムの人たちは信仰を守りつつ、平和に暮らしたいだけだと肌で感じる。
