On the #nursesstrike. I’ve spent most of the last 3 months in hospital with my 10 month old baby. Yes the doctors and surgeons have been exceptional, but my god the nurses…

My wonderful father Peter Kenyon died on Tuesday.
He was a principled, kind & hard working man.
A journalist, proud European and Labour party activist - he was a selfless change-maker generous with all.
He lived a good life.

Very sad to have to announce the loss of longtime Branch Member and former Chair, Peter Kenyon last night after a long illness. He was also a former NEC member and @HackneyAbbott’s agent. RIP Peter

What do blood samples, law contracts, eggs, electrical equipment, clothes & people have in common?!
They (& more) are all being delivered by #CargoBike 😍.
How we do deliveries needs to change if we're going to reach #AirPollution & #Climate targets.

This was a great panel discussion yesterday on all things walking, wheeling & cycling.
And please remember, when we talk about safety and the need to shift the dial from fear to freedom, this has to include actions to address fear of male violence as well as road danger.
The good news is that increasing the number & diversity of people walking, wheeling & cycling, contributes to safer streets & stronger communities.
More eyes on the street increases safety & feelings of safety as well as making our places and spaces more social and joyful. #RightToTheStreets
Yet another example of why a joined up, mission-based approach is critical.

The transition to a cleaner freight system will rely on joined-up thinking and fresh policies from government.
But businesses like @firstmile and @GSTTnhs are already taking positive steps to reduce air pollution from freight.

Great to have compèred today’s #AirPollution & #Health conference by @GreatOrmondSt, @globalactplan & @CamdenCouncil. So much to learn! Encouraging that health professionals & many NHS staff are working hard to raise awareness & contribute less pollution themselves. #CleanAirDay
1. Sir Stephen Holgate at the Cleaner Air, Healthier Lives Summit, presenting the health harms of air pollution is sobering. The impact on the growth of young lungs. There are no safe levels of air pollution - the UK cannot afford to become a laggard in this area #CleanAirDay
5) A vital session from Agnes Agyepong and Sefi Roth on housing, indoor air quality, and health inequalities expertly chaired by Catherine Max. The session highlighted the disproportionate impact of air pollution on black communities and disadvantaged households.
