It doesn't matter who you used to be; what matters is who you decide to be today. You are not your mistakes. You are not your mishaps. You are not your past. You are not your wounds. You can decide differently today and at every moment. Remember that. You are offered a new opportunity with each breath to think, choose, decide and act differently in a way that supports you in being all that you are capable of being.

Sorry for being MIA for a few days. My best friend’s fur baby was diagnosed with a soft cell sarcoma and had her left rear leg amputated. It’s been really hard on my friend. She blames herself and so I’ve been helping take shifts watching baby Zoe and keep her from biting and licking her incision. She’s doing AMAZING. she’s walking better than expected and even tried running at one point.
You will continue to suffer
if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you.
True power is sitting back And observing everything with logic; true power is restraint.
If words control you that means everyone else can control you; breathe and allow things to pass.
Second trip for mani and a real pedi this time completed. Last time was just a quick polish change this time I had a full pedi done. It felt amazing. Obviously didn’t touch my scar but the rest was much needed.
Knee is coming along nicely I think. Incision is fully healed. Still picking a few pieces of glue off lol. I’m getting around easily in the house with no assistance. I do use a cane outside the house. I’m still a bit unsteady without it.
It’s how day at a time. Trying to increase my mobility a little more each day just like trying to be a better person a bit more each day.

I know I’ve been scarce but I’ve had my hands a bit full lately. I’ll work on being more present. 💜💜
Busy weekend. First trip out since surgery and got my nails done.
Then off to my first checkup with the surgeon and got my bandage off. (Sorry if you’re squeamish but honestly it looks much better than I expected) No stitches to remove they’re all internal dissolvable ones and surgical super glue.
He said it looks awesome and is very happy with my progress. I go back in 4 weeks. I’ve been released to go to the office for physical therapy and I’m no longer using the walker. I have a cane when outside but in the house I’m walking on my own.
Final step before going home is being able to get in and out of the shower on my own. I love my friend but I do miss my own bed. I’m hoping to be home next weekend if all goes well.
Here's my wish for peace of heart and soul for all those women who put on a smile and make their way through this day for others so no one sees their pain. Just know you're not alone and there are those who shed a tear with you for those we've lost be it a Mother, a sister or a son or daughter.
Love you all and hope however you choose to spend your day it's one that brings you love and happiness.
