Shocker of a decision. There will be calls for VAR in the Championship after that. West Ham’s Tomas Soucek puts in the perfect sliding challenge, stretching out his right foot to nudge the ball away from QPR’s Paul Smyth. Brilliant interception, played the ball, outside the box anyway, ridiculously punished with a penalty. West Ham been poor, but that was an even poorer decision. #WHUQPR

Bowen’s first goal would have been a 7 minute VAR check to see if the defender deliberately played it back. Then if not deliberate, to see if Pablo got a touch. VAR would then have disallowed it for unclear reasons. Instead the ref gave it and people celebrated. Revolutionary.
