If TCO is not a consideration when choosing a database then you are probably paying too much. Legacy on-prem solutions are fixed cost and hard to scale. #CloudNative solutions like @DynamoDB scale both cost and capacity elastically in minutes so you only pay for what you need.

I’m surprised this isn’t bigger news, Garmin has been down for days (not hours) and it might be a ransomware attack, if a tech company like Garmin can go down who’s next? Thoughts? – at Hillsboro, OR

I’ve always been an RDBMS person and ORM proponent, I’ve grown to dislike ORM and now... I love DynamoDB. Single table design is so nice, it’s performant and fun to work with, learn from the master himself: – at Hillsboro, OR

My most important rules for #success? 1) Always remember that nobody knows anything. 2) The only way to figure out if your idea is a good one is to try it. 3) If you don’t start, you’ll never get anywhere. #thatwillneverwork

I just ran 'docker system prune' and it took a while to complete, total reclaimed space: 3.233GB, I guess I should run this more often 🤣 I've been using Docker a lot lately!
