anyway, happy birthday to her. i’m glad this year brought us into each other’s lives. and if i get to be a little part of all the birthdays that come after this, i’ll consider myself pretty lucky.
i wish i could make her see just how lovely she is, especially in the moments when she doesn’t feel that way herself. there’s so much about her worth appreciating, and i hope she never lets the world convince her otherwise.
i hope this new age brings her closer to everything she’s been working towards. more answered prayers & more reasons to be excited about life. i hope she gets to experience the kind of happiness that doesn’t have to be chased, the kind that simply finds its way to her.
there’s something about the way her mind works, the things she says, the way she sees things, & how effortlessly she makes a conversation worth having. she’s genuinely one of the most interesting people i’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
it’s her day today, and i just want to take a moment to appreciate how ridiculously pretty this girl is. i swear, there’s something about her that makes even the simplest pictures worth keeping. i could look at her for hours and still find something new to adore.
