Eight years ago, @PlushieDreadful started as a strange little idea. Soft things for fans of Alice, for people who feel things deeply, made for adults who never stopped needing comfort just because they left home. No plan, no experience, just a feeling that there was a whole audience out there that toy companies had completely ignored. That feeling turned into something we never fully expected. What began as a handful of designs became a catalog of over 400 unique Plushie Dreadfuls, each one carrying its own strange little story. Along the way we heard from people who told us these plushies helped them through anxiety, through grief, through days when getting out of bed felt impossible. That feedback - often in the form of Crowd Design - became our compass. It shaped our mental health and neurodivergent lines, it shaped how we talk about ourselves, and honestly it shaped who we are as a company. Of course, eight years of growing quickly and loudly in public means you also attract some pushback. We've had our share of critics, some fair, some coordinated, some just plain misinformed. We're not going to pretend that didn't happen - nor that it was easy. But if anything, it clarified things for us. Our mission was never to please everyone. It was to make something honest for the people who actually needed it. For people who see their scars not as reminders of the pain the suffered - but as a constant signal that they survived. So this week isn't really about discounts or product drops, even though there are a few of those too. It's about saying THANK YOU. Thank you, for buying weird little besties that mean something.
