Another of our clients turned off their servers for the very last time as they now operate fully on SaaS subscriptions per employee

I keep getting ad's and blogs about server renewal.
Who's still buying servers and are they counting the true costs of ownership? Add to the explicit and hidden op ex costs for on prem infrastructure in the comments #cloud
Downtime - non-cloud infrastructure goes down for longer and more often than #cloud alternatives
Upgrades - memory, cpu and disk all likely to be upgraded during the 3 to 5 years of physical server life
#cloud #CloudComputing
Monitoring - Relying on the good will of staff to notice and attend to out of hours alerts, or paying high monthly costs for a Managed Service Provider to provide support
#cloudfail #cloud #cloudcomputing
Offsite backup - 99% of on premises backup systems we review have flaws that would result in data loss or non-recoverability of systems if ever relied upon #cloud #cloudfail
Real Estate - Apart from the expense of housing servers in prime office space, do you want to be tied to a lease because of where your servers are? #cloud #cloudcomputing
Aircon/Cooling - cold air cooling systems lose effectiveness for processors > 150w. New Gen Servers processors run up to 600w requiring expensive cooling solutions #cloud #cloudcomputing
Operating System patches and upgrades - 80% of companies who had a data breach or a failed audit could have prevented it by patching on time or doing configuration updates

The lights are off and no one is driving these old servers any more.
Replaced by #office365 and #azure AD for another 100% SaaS office.
A big day for one of our #lawfirm clients as they replace Practice Management, Matter Management and Document Management with @LawMaster_Tech
Does anyone have a good solution for a whiteboard + post-its embedded, or as an add-in to SharePoint?
