Getting myself a Nintendo switch two for Christmas this year and I’ve seen a lot of of love thrown at the fire emblem games which game should I start with? I know there’s a brand new one that came out. Is it something similar to Final Fantasy where you can kind of start wherever or is it like an actual story that I need to follow from the beginning?

The Wolverine hate was bound to happen. People are not as intelligent as we all love to believe. 99% live within a hive mind and marvel comics expands upon this. In the comics Mutants are feared and thus hunted and hated just for existing. Wolverine comes out and is getting unfair hate with very very few genuine criticisms. Go figure that this game where mutants are the main focus ends of being @insomniacgames first game to receive this much hate. The SP2 hate wave wasn’t even close to this. The harshest thing you’d get is that the game was rushed and killed Peter development compared to the first game. Wolverine isn’t a 10/10 but it sure as hell isn’t even close to as bad as everyone is making it out the be. This shit is my entire timeline every time I decide to open up any social media platform. The conversation doesn’t need to continue about it like move on Damn! Scent trial makes sense, it’s Logan/Wolverine he tracks things like an actual animal for goodness sakes stfu about it. Does the game hold your hand for unfailable QTE’s with no variant animations like they previously did with SP 2018? Yes - this is a genuine criticism but not one that bogs down the entire game, it’s not like we’re playing The Quarry here. Is the game button mashy? Duh fuck yea! It’s a game about ripping people apart as FUCKING WOLVERINE there’s a decent variety of attacks and special attacks in there and for a hack and slash game it’s not too shabby, it’s not at the holy grail level of Devil May Cry but it’s pretty decent and if you’re gonna bitch about the budget of the game spare me the bs you’ll come up with. Most of the game’s budget is licensing. Look at the budget for any super hero title based off a popular character, they are and will always be be inflated higher than a counterpart in the same genre doing similar things with a different MC, also have to account that this game was in development for the past 5 years… and within those have years we’ve seen a huge spike of inflated numbers in anything within the creation field due to RAM and other PC components. These games don’t make themselves they’re expensive to get enough hardware as well as the talent. Salaries have risen within the last 5 years by a pretty decent deal as well. These are real things to take into account. “You’re just saying that to cope” so get that fuck ass response outta here also. Those are genuine outlooks on why the budget is so inflated, it’s not as simple as, “$300M budget and this is what we get!????” Yea it’s a large number but that large number doesn’t tell the whole story as for how much of it was just licensing and how much of it was actually used for the development of the game. We also don’t know if that number includes marketing or if it’s just game development/licensing. The writing…yea I’ll give you that it’s not great as sweet baby inc needs to honestly keep their dirty little hands away from amazing projects/ideas! But with that said it’s also not TERRIBLE. A lot of the story makes sense from the perspective of a Wolverine fan and if you’re no already one welcome to the fandom, the confused interwoven yet secretive story of Logan is the norm. He often doesn’t remember shit and needs it side help so many of his solo stories that involves other characters are always a bit detached because he’s usually searching for something that lost within himself and just doing shit. He’s a cool ass character and the game does a damn good job making you feel like him. Final thing I’ll touch on… the face model/character is not great - another genuine critique. But with the current model it’s mostly the funky ass short hair cut/stylization they give him. It’s a different universe so being different is acceptable. Anyways enjoy it or not just be more genuine with your takes goodness most of you are insufferable as FUCK #wolverinePS5
