reading is a cheat code all wisdom from the wisest ppl who have ever lived has been written down and perfectly curated, available at anytime for you to digest but instead ppl think it's cool to say 'i never read' as if it's something to be proud of more and more i don't think ppl will need to say they don't read, because as AI atrophies everyone's brain it will become self-evident note: i may sound a pretentious intellectual but i also didn't read regularly until like 5 years ago and it really did change my life and view on the world i also used to identify as someone who 'never read books' and a 'slow reader' but these are both just made up things we tell ourselves and skills to be learned. you're not a slow reader you're just bad at reading, much like you are bad at any skill you haven't done for a while you can learn to read faster and hold your attention on something for longer (w exceptions for mental conditions) i didn't go to university and don't have a degree but imo it's retarded if you're not trying to consume books. it's never too late to start and if you want to prepare yourself for the next 10 years then the best thing you can do is to have hobbies that intentionally retain your attention span, because that is an edge if you are able to assist your attention span + absorb timeless and useful knowledge then you are increasing your likelihood of both winning and being an interesting person ironically a bunch of ppl will bookmark this tweet bc it feels too long to read, and for those who do, you should really start reading books

It feels like general-use LLMs, are all becoming very good for anyone looking to use them for daily use. The thing that will separate them long term is a lot to do with data imo. Gemini has a great chance because its a pretty unintensive model (not like Claude going intense and for speed with searches etc). Gemini has access to a full collection of data points, like Google Flights, Google Maps etc. Makes it quite easy to plan things for travel planning when everything is all in one. Funny that this literally never ends, and their integrations layer extends forever.

wrote a blog about how the world is becoming easier to do more, which will either make you depressed or unreasonably fulfilled. blog3.io/#post=Misc%2Feasier…

The ability to go from sketch storyboard instantly to hyper-realism on Nano Banana Pro is an exciting development. Literally infinite control with image models now. Just video models that need to get a little better with voice/emotion, but that'll come soon.

Made this in the last few days, but had to rush sound design and some of the final images going into the end, so not fully happy with it. The North Face spec ad.

Here are some leftover stills and The North Face jacket I used with some of the full character design.

Character generation in NB Pro is elite, so easy to edit things around, even though a few text things are still imperfect. Hopefully, I'll release a tool soon enough which can fix the distant logos and text which need fixing traditionally in Photoshop.

This kind of image generation is so good for generating consistent characters over consistent themes. No logging 10+ images of details of characters and details.... now you can just generate it all as one image and use that as a reference across all scenes.

We believe this is the first documented case of a large-scale AI cyberattack executed without substantial human intervention. It has significant implications for cybersecurity in the age of AI agents. Read more: anthropic.com/news/disruptin…

As time goes on, more and more sites in the UK keep being blocked. Literally makes working without a VPN just impossible. Embarrassingly slow innovation and forward-thinking from the UK. No wonder people of value move away constantly.

Just posted a new blog on how LLM innovation might be coming at the cost of real journalism and some other sectors. blog3.io/#post=AI%2Finnovati… This will likely force these sectors into monopolies without complex regulation.

We are in an industrial boom, just like the dot-com boom, and people over the next 12+ months will be paid massively for understanding niches in AI. A load of companies currently want to onboard AI in most ways into their workflows, but many don't know how or where to start. Being a provider of these things will likely pay very well until the bubble eventually pops.

As long as it is actually a niche rather than something like vibe coding kind of "work".
