Interestingly enough, when it comes time to cut, it always seems to be the person making $40k working 80 hours a week doing what should be 3 jobs, and never the ADs or their bonuses for building unneeded facilities under the fat budget or paying themselves extra for players *graduating* …

I’ve coached youth athletes on and off for 20 years, and have two kids of my own now. I’m also married to a pro athlete (and had coached plenty myself), so I think I have a unique insight here. I think that the point of youth sports is SO MISSED by most parents. 👇🏻

Big 12 vs. SEC for a National Championship.
Loser has to keep Texas and Oklahoma.

I am in no way, shape or form a fan of @TexasTech or @TCU, but I do find it funny that in the last 4 athletic seasons...tech, tcu and @Baylor have all played for a National title in a major sport while @UTAustin & @TAMU have had to sit back & watch.
Money doesn't buy everything!

Dr. John Cheng died Sunday, literally taking the bullet for fellow congregants while heroically tackling the gunman at an Orange County church.
Cheng was also a Baylor Bear — Class of 1991. 💚💛

What I taught my kids about rights and abortion was pretty basic: It's their decision - not mine, nor anyone else's - but in any case, they would not face it alone. My love for them is greater than any choice they make that I might hate, and it's not negotiable.

Good morning to everyone!
(but especially to fans of the first school to win the Big 12 football, men's & women's basketball titles in the same season.)

The impact of a coach/teacher/boss/mentor runs deep. Be one…or get one! Make a difference.
Finally, something to attract quality recruits…..besides top-notch academics, caring coaches, National Championships, amazing culture, great town, quality support staff, facilities, Magnolia and Bush’s Chicken!
The city of Waco will partner with Baylor University to fund a $185 million home for the university's basketball teams on the downtown riverfront, one that would double as a city-run performance venue and anchor a larger development. wacotrib.com/news/local/govt…

A team without a single 5 star recruit just won the Big 12 while the team with a bunch of them is home for the bowl season. A hoops team without a single 5 star just won the national championship. Keep signing day in perspective. Character, coaching and smart recruiting wins.
When will schools finally deem chanting “overrated” at sporting events, when beating a highly-raked team, as egregious as breaking the Honor Code or continuing to use AOL mail?
