מה אני אגיד לכם? יש משהו ב״שיר לשלום״ שתמיד ריגש אותי. אולי אלה הזיכרונות משנות ה-90׳, זיכרונות של יהודים וערבים רוקדים ביחד ומאמינים שעתיד אחר אפשרי.
אבל לראות את הרגע הזה מרגש אותי אפילו יותר, וגם משמח אותי.
לראות כל כך הרבה צעירים, לא רק שרים, אלא זועקים וקופצים למען השלום. צעירים שכבר הספיקו לחוות כל כך הרבה מלחמות, ובכל זאת בוחרים להאמין שאפשר גם אחרת.
שאי אפשר לחיות על החרב.
זה דבר כל כך גדול.
ועם זאת, חשוב שזעקת השלום הזו תכלול גם הכרה עמוקה בכך שחיים כאן שני עמים, ושאף אחד מהם לא הולך לשום מקום.
השלום מחייב לסיים את הכיבוש ואת ההשמדה בעזה, ולעשות הכול כדי שכל הצעירים, ישראלים ופלסטינים כאחד, יוכלו לגדל את ילדיהם בשלום, בכבוד ובביטחון.
חייבים לתת לשמש לעלות. חייבים לתת לבוקר הזה להאיר.

I was a combat soldier in an elite IDF unit. I served in the West Bank and witnessed firsthand how settlers could do whatever they wanted with impunity.
Today I’m the Executive Director of ״Breaking the Silence״ an organization that has collected thousands of testimonies from Israeli soldiers over the past two decades.
And I can say with certainty that this statement by IDF spokesperson is a lie. The IDF is not trying to stop Jewish terrorism in the occupied territories. In fact, it protects Jewish terrorists and arms them with US-made M16 rifles.
If the IDF genuinely wanted to stop Jewish terrorism, the Chief of Staff could simply order the 30,000 soldiers stationed in the West Bank to carry out arrests. It’s that simple.

ואז הוא פשוט נדלק. ראיתי בעיניים שלו רוע ושנאה. הוא לקח קסדה ופשוט התחיל לפרק אותי. קיבלתי כל כך הרבה מכות לראש שהכל התחיל להתערפל. ובתוך הערפל הזה, צצו פתאום עוד 4-5 גברים, הם פשוט ראו הזדמנות לקחת חלק בלינץ’ על הומו, אז למה לא. הם לא רצו רק להרביץ. הם רצו להרוג.
הם ממש אמרו את זה תוך כדי שבועטים בי. הבחור הראשון לקח בקבוק זכוכית, שבר אותו על הרצפה ובא לדקור אותי. אני לא יודע איזה נס שמר עליי באותה שנייה, אולי הצרחות של אראל שצרחה את נשמתה והתחילה לצלם באומץ כדי להבריח אותם, אולי הסירנות של המשטרה שהתקרבו, או סתם שבריר של מזל, אבל ברגע האחרון ממש הם כולם ברחו.
כל הגוף שלי שבור וכואב, לא היו שם רחמים. אבל הכי כואב לי בלב.
יפו, הבית שלי, המקום שבו אני חי, המקום שהיה אמור להיות המרחב הכי בטוח שלי בעולם, המקום שבחרתי לגור בו מתוך אמונה בדו קיום, הרצון לייצר פה עתיד טוב יותר ומשותף.
